Jada Pinkett Smith made an appearance in Dubai to show her support for Will Smith's newest project. She looked stunning in a black-and-white Iris van Herpen dress on the red carpet at a screening of Smith's movie Bad Boys: Ride or Die on May 22. While posing for photos with Smith's costars Bilall Fallah and Adil El Arbi, she chose not to join her husband in the spotlight.
The actress shared two stylish photos on Instagram on Wednesday, giving fans a closer look at her stunning outfit. One of the photos highlighted the gown's flowing cape. She captioned the pictures, "In a place that appreciates architecture... @irisvanherpen is the perfect choice for a red carpet event in Dubai."
At the same event, Smith, who is 55 years old, looked happy and stylish as he celebrated his film. He wore a sharp three-piece suit and walked the red carpet alongside his co-star Martin Lawrence.
“Well that was a FANTASTIC way to kick this thing off!” Smith wrote via Instagram after the premiere. “Thank You Dubai!! @badboys back on the move.”

Will Smith and his wife have remained strong together, even though they have been open about their relationship challenges. In October 2023, Pinkett Smith shared that they had actually been separated for six years.
"We're still trying to figure things out," she shared with People. "We've been working hard together. We have a deep love for each other and we're trying to understand what that means for us."
In another interview with Today, Pinkett Smith discussed why neither she nor Smith had taken steps towards divorce. "I think we're just not ready yet," she explained. "We're still trying to navigate how to be in a partnership and how to present that to others. We're still figuring it out."
She mentioned that many factors contributed to the challenges in their marriage. The Girls Trip star shared, "I feel like by 2016, we were just worn out from trying so hard. We were both holding onto unrealistic expectations of each other."

Pinkett Smith further revealed that she was surprised Smith referred to her as his “wife” when he slapped Chris Rock on stage at the 2022 Oscars.
During an October 2023 NBC News special, she shared her shock at the incident. She mentioned that they no longer refer to each other as husband and wife. She expressed concern for Will and his well-being, unsure of what was happening.
After the commotion, Rock reassured her that his joke about her shaved head was not meant to cause harm. Pinkett Smith recounted her worry for Will, who was upset that Rock was speaking to her. She told Rock that the issue was irrelevant to their current situation and struggled to fully accept his apology.
Despite facing challenges in their relationship, as documented in her memoir, Worthy, Pinkett Smith announced in November 2023 that she and Smith are committed to staying together for the long haul.
During an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, Pinkett Smith shared her perspective on relationships, highlighting the importance of self-acceptance and acceptance of one's partner as key elements in the journey of love.
Earlier this year, the family had a lovely Easter celebration together. Will Smith, along with his kids Jaden, 25, and Willow, 23, shared a sweet selfie in March. In the photo, they were joined by Will's mother, Caroline Bright, his brother Harry, and his son Trey, 31, whom he shares with Sheree Zampino. It was a happy time for the whole family.
