Jacob Elordi's Jaw-Dropping Transformation as Elvis Leaves His Mom Speechless!

Jacob Elordi's mother had a strong emotional response when she saw him dressed as the iconic Elvis Presley - just like the rest of us. "She just started yelling," Elordi, 26, shared with Entertainment Tonight on October 18. He further mentioned that displaying his transformation into the King of Rock and Roll was a major confidence booster for him.

Actor from Euphoria cast as Elvis in Sofia Coppola's biopic, Priscilla. The film, titled Priscilla, is based on Priscilla's memoir, Elvis and Me. Cailee Spaeny takes on the lead role of Priscilla in the movie. The official logline describes the story as Priscilla's encounter with Elvis at a party and how he transforms from a famous rock-and-roll superstar into a surprising and vulnerable figure in their private moments. Sofia Coppola takes audiences through the unexplored side of the iconic Elvis and Priscilla relationship, showcasing their lengthy courtship and tumultuous marriage from a German army base to his beloved estate, Graceland. The film promises to be a heartfelt and exquisitely depicted portrayal of love, fantasy, and fame.

Director Coppola, aged 52, expressed her excitement and delight upon seeing Elordi and Spaeny in costume for the first time. In an interview with ET on Wednesday, she described the experience as "really fun" and "amazing."

Coppola also acknowledged the significant responsibility she felt in telling Elordi's story in a manner that would resonate with her. She shared that while she had previously focused on her personal artistic vision, she now had the added task of accurately representing Elordi's perspective.

Elordi takes on the role of Elvis after Austin Butler portrayed the late musician in Baz Luhrmann's Elvis, released in June 2022. Butler, 32, expressed well wishes for Elordi at the 2023 Golden Globes, stating, "I wish him all the best. We haven't spoken, but I hope he has a great time."

Butler received the Best Actor in a Drama Motion Picture award for his portrayal of Elvis at the ceremony.

Elordi confirmed that the 2022 Elvis movie did not influence his portrayal of the music legend for Priscilla.

"The first priority for me was to dismantle the mythology surrounding the character and portray him as a relatable human being. Elordi explained to The Hollywood Reporter that his main focus throughout the project was navigating the delicate balance between being an internationally renowned figure and a genuine, authentic individual. His thorough preparation involved extensive research prior to stepping onto the set."

Elordi enthusiastically shared with Extra on October 9 that the experience was pure bliss, as they had the opportunity to listen to some of the world's finest music and watch timeless films. Priscilla is scheduled to hit theaters on Friday, November 3.
