Rob McElhenney and Kaitlin Olson will continue to share laughter as a couple. On July 3, the costar duo addressed an article by Perez Hilton discussing their marriage, which referenced the gossip account DeuxMoi on Instagram.
The couple of a well-known sitcom, who are married and actors, have reportedly split up in a discreet manner due to the husband's infidelity in Wales. This information was mentioned in a DeuxMoi submission titled "not always sunny."
Following this revelation, Olsen, aged 47, humorously addressed the situation on Twitter, stating, "I am the one who had the extramarital affair. However, it was not with someone from Wales; it was with a whale. I have always admired whales, as they are the dominant figures in the ocean, and I am drawn to power. During this challenging period, we kindly request privacy."
McElhenney, 46, who often visits the U.K. alongside his business partner Ryan Reynolds as co-owners of the football club Wrexham A.F.C., responded to his wife's post, acknowledging the unfortunate reality of the rumor. However, he pointed out that some of the information surrounding it is inaccurate.
The stars of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" first crossed paths on the set of the sitcom back in 2005 and discreetly began a relationship, making an effort to keep it hidden from their fellow cast members.

"They started off by saying, 'We have something important to share with all of you.' Suddenly, Kaitlin burst into tears and exclaimed, 'I love [Rob]. I love him so much, guys. He's an amazing person. We hope you won't be upset with us because we're dating and also on the show,'" shared Mary Elizabeth Ellis, a fellow cast member, in a 2015 interview with Buzzfeed. "We couldn't help but burst into laughter at the amusing way they chose to announce their relationship for the first time. They truly make a fantastic couple."
After tying the knot in 2008, the couple went on to have two children: their firstborn, Axel, in 2010, and their second son, Leo, in 2012. Just before their 14th wedding anniversary, they made headlines with a heartwarming joint appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!.
"Maintaining a relationship can be incredibly challenging. In August 2022, McElhenney and Olson stood together as McElhenney expressed, 'We've experienced both highs and lows throughout our journey. This September marks our upcoming 14th wedding anniversary, and I can honestly say that my love for you has only grown stronger over the years. Despite the inevitable difficulties that arise in any relationship, I am committed to always being present and giving my best because my love for you knows no bounds.'"
