He observed that his father appeared aged and disheveled, and remarked that both he and the other kibbutz members seemed to be in poor condition.

"Time is running out, and we need to make every effort to bring them back," Metzger emphasized.

"The world needs to take action to transfer medical supplies and ensure the well-being of the hostages," he emphasized.

Ten weeks ago, the Nir Oz kibbutz, along with several other small farming communities, faced the worst of the Hamas assault. In a statement, the kibbutz expressed gratitude for any signs of life but also highlighted the urgency of the situation.

Diplomatic efforts persist, but the humanitarian crisis in the besieged strip worsens daily. Over 19,600 people have been killed by Israeli military action in Gaza since October 7, with over 52,000 wounded, as reported by the Hamas-controlled Ministry of Health.

Additionally, airstrikes have devastated much of northern Gaza, resulting in almost 1.9 million people, over 80% of the population, being displaced according to the United Nations.
