In an on-carpet interview, Lawrence stated, "Any new content related to Hunger Games would have to come from Suzanne herself... If she were to write a book that could be turned into a series, that would be incredible. Or if Suzanne were to write another book specifically for a movie, that would be fantastic."
Jacobson stressed the importance of maintaining the integrity of a franchise. He explained that if Suzanne Collins, the author, had a meaningful narrative to share within the same world, then it would be worthwhile to pursue. However, if there were no substantial themes or ideas to explore, it would be more advisable to cherish the franchise as a beloved memory instead of forcibly creating a sequel simply for the sake of it.
"I believe she will continue to write more books in the future, and I am hopeful that she does. However, I have no clue about the subject matter of her upcoming works," she further disclosed.
Numerous fans have been relentlessly requesting books centered around Haymitch or Finnick's Games for years. Yet, it remains uncertain what direction any potential future Hunger Games project may lead us to.
