A sneak peek into the development of Projekt Z: Beyond Order awaits as Modus Games unveils work-in-progress footage of their thrilling co-op FPS zombie game. Set against the backdrop of World War II, this highly anticipated title draws inspiration from popular games like Left 4 Dead, Escape From Tarkov, and Fallout Shelter.

The game will include a main cooperative story mode where players collaborate to collect resources and unveil hidden programs involving Nazi zombies. Additionally, there will be a survival mode where players confront waves of zombies.

Although the Kickstarter campaign was terminated, 314 Arts persevered with the project and joined forces with Modus Games as a publishing partner. The latest trailer teases extensive weapon customization, but does not delve into the specifics of the Hideout system or whether the game will be available as a free-to-play option.

Modus Games has unveiled a sneak peek of Projekt Z: Beyond Order, an upcoming cooperative first-person shooter set in the midst of World War 2. Influenced by acclaimed titles such as Left 4 Dead, Escape From Tarkov, and Fallout Shelter, the developers at 314 Arts have crafted an exciting game that combines intense action with the thrill of uncovering hidden Nazi zombie initiatives. In this highly anticipated game mode, players will join forces on PC to embark on story-driven missions, scavenging for vital resources along the way. Additionally, Projekt Z will include a relentless survival mode, pitting players against hordes of ravenous zombies.

Initially introduced in May 2022 through a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter, Projekt Z aimed to raise €100,000. Unfortunately, the campaign fell short, collecting only €35,805, leading to its cancellation. Undeterred, 314 Arts persevered and forged a publishing partnership with Modus Games, ensuring the realization of their ambitious project. Dedicated fans of their previous hit game, Vengeance, have been eagerly anticipating further announcements about the highly anticipated Projekt Z.

A reveal has been made for Projekt Z during the Feardemic Fear Fest 2023 event. Modus and 314 Arts have released a new trailer showcasing the evolution of the zombie game. The trailer focuses on the storyline of Projekt Z, which begins with players' airplane crashing on a remote island under Nazi control during WW2. The island reveals a failed Nazi experiment to weaponize zombies.

Although it is unclear how much of the game remains from its initial Kickstarter teaser and what changes have been made, the new Projekt Z trailer hints at one feature that has been retained. The original reveal promised a comprehensive crafting system, and the new trailer offers a glimpse of extensive weapon customization in the game.

Regrettably, the trailer overlooks one of Projekt Z's most innovative and captivating elements - the Hideout system. This system serves as a central hub where players can construct a base, recruit NPCs, and upgrade their weapons and equipment. Instead, the trailer primarily emphasizes the intense zombie-slaying chaos and World War II setting of Projekt Z.

It appears that there is still much more to uncover about Projekt Z. However, this initial reveal, following the partnership between 314 Arts and Modus Games, is a promising start. Some unresolved questions include whether Projekt Z will be a free-to-play game, to what extent it will resemble the immersive experience of Escape from Tarkov, and the possibility of its console release. At present, Projekt Z appears to be an exhilarating multiplayer WW2 shooter with a cooperative gameplay aspect.

Projekt Z: Beyond Order is in development for PC.
