Intel Introduces Next-Gen Arc A-series Mobile GPUs: Unleashing Unprecedented Gaming Power

Intel expands its Arc A-series lineup with the release of the A570M and A530M mobile GPUs These mid-tier graphics cards fill the gap in the lineup, offering enhanced performance and features for a superior gaming experience

Highlights

Intel silently expands its Arc A-series of mobile GPUs with the introduction of A570M and A530M, joining the mid-tier offerings lineup.

The A570M offers increased clock speed and higher total graphics power (TGP) in comparison to the A550M. On the other hand, the A530M has a marginally lower TGP and provides choices for 4GB or 8GB of VRAM.

Additionally, Intel has introduced the latest Graphics Driver 31.0.101.4577, which is compatible with the A570M and A530M. They have also mentioned that these new graphics processing units (GPUs) were rolled out in the third quarter of 2023.

Intel has quietly unveiled its latest additions to the Arc A-series of graphics cards, the A570M and A530M mobile GPUs. These new cards join the existing lineup of A-series cards, including the mid-tier A770M, A730M, A550M, A370M, and A350M. While both GPUs boast a base clock speed of 1300MHz, there are differences in Xe cores, Ray-Tracing units, Vector Engines, TGP, and other features. Last year, Intel shook up the industry with its Arc A-series laptop graphics cards, introducing the Arc 3 series in March and later adding the A550M, A730M, and A770M in October. At the same time, Intel also introduced desktop SKUs as part of the Arc lineup, such as the A310, A380, A770, and A750, which have shown superior performance to Nvidia in Ray Tracing in certain games. Intel's laptop GPU offerings are currently more extensive than its desktop offerings, with a lineup of five GPUs already available and two more on the way.

The Arc A570M and A530M are positioned between the A350M and the A730M models. The A570M boasts the same configuration as the A550M, but with an improved clock speed of 1300MHz. This translates to the A570M featuring 16 Xe cores, 16 Ray Tracing units, 256 Intel XMX Engines, 256 Vector Engines, and 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM with a 128-bit memory bus. Moreover, it has a higher power range of 75W-95W, in contrast to the A550M's 60W power range.

The A530M, Intel's little brother to the A570M, boasts an upgraded configuration featuring 12 Xe cores, 12 Ray Tracing units, 192 XMX Engines, and 192 Vector Engines. It offers options for either 4GB or 8GB VRAM. Clocking in at 1300MHz, the A530M maintains the same speed as its counterpart. However, it has a slightly lower TGP of 65W and a maximum of 95W.

In addition to the new GPUs, Intel has also released the latest Graphics Driver 31.0.101.4577, which now supports both the A570M and the A530M. According to the release notes, this driver addresses known issues with Arc Graphics products, Iris 'X' Max products, Intel Core processors, and Arc Control. Intel's website states that the A570M and A530M were launched in Q3 2023, indicating that they will soon be available in laptops from various OEMs, if they aren't already.

In terms of performance, the Intel Arc A370M offers similar numbers to the desktop RTX 3050, while the high-end A770M surpasses the desktop RTX 3060. Compared to Intel's lineup, the mobile A770M is slightly slower than the discrete Arc A770 GPU, with a PassMark G3D score of 7077 compared to 8634. The pricing for laptops featuring these new GPUs is currently uncertain, but listings for devices with these GPUs should be available on retailers' websites in the near future.
