“I’m probably down 70-something pounds,” he told People in April. “I’ve been really kicking [but], man.”
Jelly then talked about his workout regimen. He mentioned that he runs two to three miles a day, four to six days a week. Additionally, he spends 20 to 30 minutes in the sauna and takes a six-minute cold plunge every day. Jelly also emphasized that he is currently focusing on eating healthily.
Jelly expressed, "I feel amazing. I'm actually thinking about losing another 100, maybe even 100-and-something pounds. If I feel this great at this weight, I can only imagine how I'll feel when I go on tour."
After gaining popularity with his 2021 single "Son of a Sinner" and 2023 track "Need a Favor," Jelly has been open about his past and how his music career has transformed his life.
At the 2024 ACM Awards this month, Jelly and Lainey Wilson won the Best Music Event award for their song "Save Me." Jelly got emotional during his acceptance speech, sharing that the song had a special meaning to him. He told Entertainment Tonight that "Save Me" was a turning point for him, helping him find his true voice and feel more comfortable being open and vulnerable.
He continued by sharing that he always wrote vulnerable music, but never to the extent that he did with his song. The experience of creating this particular song had a profound impact on his life. He mentioned that he released "Save Me" in the middle of 2020, during a dark time, and many people resonated with it. He receives countless messages about how the song has helped others. The song held deep personal significance for him, and he felt emotional because he believed that the night of the competition was the last chance for the song to receive the recognition he felt it deserved. If he didn't win that night, he feared it would never get the recognition he thought it deserved.
