Having started their relationship in high school, the couple got engaged in August 2020 following Mahomes' triumph in Super Bowl LIV earlier that year. Just a month after the proposal, they joyfully revealed the news of Matthews' pregnancy, marking the beginning of their journey into parenthood.
"Mom and Dad, making a slight deviation to attend the wedding," stated Matthews in the caption of her September 2020 social media post, while her fiance added a heart emoji to his own post.
In February 2021, Mahomes and Matthews joyfully welcomed their daughter Sterling. They subsequently got married in March 2022, and three months later, they excitedly revealed that baby number two was on the way. Their son, Bronze, joined the family in November 2022.

Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Matthews have embraced their roles as parents after welcoming children Sterling and Bronze.
The couple, who began dating in high school, became engaged in August 2020 following Mahomes' victory in Super Bowl LIV earlier that year. Just one month after the quarterback proposed, they shared the news that Matthews was expecting their first child.
In September 2020, Matthews captioned a social media post with the words, "Mom and Dad, taking a slight detour to the wedding," while her then-fiancé captioned his own post with a heart emoji.
Mahomes and Matthews became parents to a daughter named Sterling in February 2021. They got married in March 2022, and just three months later, they excitedly shared the news of expecting their second child. Their son, Bronze, was born in November 2022.
According to an exclusive source, "Patrick and Brittany are currently experiencing pure bliss with their new baby. They have the support of their families who are constantly lending a hand with household tasks. The couple is tremendously happy with their expanding family and thoroughly enjoys bonding with their newborn son."

He humorously acknowledged that although she may not have fully grasped the concept of Christmas, she certainly understood the abundance of toys she received.
