Joshua Hall learned how to become a stepparent after he wed Christina Hall (née Haack), and isn’t afraid to be the disciplinarian.
Joshua, 42, recently spoke to Entertainment Tonight and revealed that his parenting style is authoritative. He mentioned that Christina is the one who always says, "Whatever you want." Despite not being around the kids for their entire lives, Joshua has noticed that they have learned to ask Christina if he says no. Christina, a former Flip or Flop star, became a mother in 2011 when she gave birth to her daughter Taylor, who is now 12 years old. Taylor is her child with her ex-husband Tarek El Moussa. Later, Christina and Tarek welcomed a son named Brayden, who is now 7 years old. However, the couple separated in 2016, and their divorce was finalized in 2018. Christina has since welcomed a son named Tristan Jay with her current husband, Heather Rae El Moussa (née Young), in January.
Christina remarried Ant Anstead in 2019 after divorcing Tarek. They had a son named Hudson, who is now 3 years old. However, Christina and Anstead divorced in 2021 and faced a difficult custody battle. Anstead accused Christina of exploiting their son on her TV shows and social media advertisements, but Christina denied these claims. Fortunately, they settled their court battle the following year. Subsequently, Christina found love with Josh and they had a private wedding ceremony in April 2022.
"In my current stage of life, I highly value moments of privacy. So Josh and I made the decision to have a courthouse ceremony, exclusively for ourselves," she disclosed in the inaugural episode of Christina in the Country, which premiered on HGTV in December 2022. "It was an intimate affair, just for the two of us. Later on, we plan to hold a reception to involve our children and family."
Afterward, Christina and Josh, who have now established a joint production company, held a second wedding ceremony in September 2022. All three of her children were in attendance. Following their union, Josh swiftly assumed a supportive parental role, even referring to himself as a "protector" of Taylor, Brayden, and Hudson in his Instagram bio.
"It's a shift in my daily responsibilities. Instead of solely caring for you, I now have three young ones who require equal attention," he expressed to ET. "Yet, I find it immensely rewarding, as I understand that when these children grow up to become productive members of society, I will have played a significant role in shaping their upbringing and future."
