Joseph Gordon-Levitt has been a successful actor since he was a kid, but as an adult, he took time to slow down and start a family.

During an interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Gordon-Levitt enthusiastically shared about his experience as a father. He expressed his gratitude for being able to take a break from acting after the arrival of his children. "I consider myself fortunate to have had the opportunity to take some time off," he explained. "Now that I have two boys, I can confidently say that it is the absolute best. It brings me immense joy."
He proceeded to express to host Jimmy Fallon his profound admiration for his documentary Dads. "I watched it a few weeks ago and the question posed was, 'What defines a dad?' And you were searching for the perfect word to describe it, and you settled on 'a hero,'" Gordon-Levitt recounted. "When you said that, man, I almost welled up with tears, thinking about the fact that I am now someone's dad. It reminded me of how I used to look up to my own father in that very same way."
