David Foster's family tree just keeps getting bigger.

He has been married five times in his life, so he has a lot of children, stepchildren, ex-partners, and his current wife, Katharine McPhee.

David has six biological children: daughters Allison Jones Foster, Amy Skylark Foster, Sara Foster, Erin Foster, and Jordan Foster, and son Rennie Foster, born in February 2021 with his wife McPhee.

In addition to his six kids, David also has stepchildren Brandon Jenner and Brody Jenner, from his previous marriage to songwriter Linda Thompson from 1991 to 2005. Linda shares her two sons with ex Caitlyn Jenner.

During a 2019 episode of the "Sibling Revelry" podcast hosted by Kate Hudson and Oliver Hudson, Sara shared about the difficult time she experienced emotionally. She talked about how her father focused on raising his stepsons instead of her and her sisters. Sara expressed how her dad was more involved in raising Brandon and Brody, leaving her and her sisters feeling neglected. She revealed that it was tough for her to watch her father prioritizing his stepsons over them, causing her own emotional turmoil and keeping her up at night.

Erin shared that after their parents split up, they never lived with their dad. Instead, they stayed with their mom while their dad lived in a fancy house worth $20 million with Brandon and Brody. The house had a trolley, a pool, and other luxuries. Even though people thought they were spoiled and rich, Erin explained that they didn't actually live in that house. They didn't have the gate code, a room there, or feel like they were part of that world.

After marrying Yolanda Hadid in 2011, David Foster became a stepdad to her three children from her previous marriage to Mohamed Hadid: Gigi Hadid, Bella Hadid, and Anwar Hadid. Brody and Brandon are not the only stepkids of David.

Allison Jones Foster

Amy Skylark Foster

Allison is David’s oldest daughter, born in 1970 when he was 20 and placed for adoption. They reunited later in life, and she currently holds the role of Secretary to the Board, Director of Business & Stakeholder Relations for the David Foster Foundation.

Amy is the musician’s second oldest child, born in 1973 to his first wife, B.J. Cook. The couple was married from 1972 to 1981.

In 2019, Amy shared on Instagram that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer in a detailed statement.

"The good news is that I caught it early, so even though I am having a mastectomy, I won't need chemotherapy. I feel incredibly fortunate and thankful for this diagnosis, as things could have been much worse if I had waited," she shared.

"If you're a woman out there and you notice something unusual in your breast, don't hesitate to get a mammogram. Knowing is always better, even if the news isn't what you want to hear," Amy emphasized. "I'll leave you with a common mantra that many women use to downplay their feelings, but in my case, it's true - I'm doing well."

David, a 16-time Grammy Award-winning artist, has three daughters with his second wife Rebecca Dyer. Their names are Sara, born in February 1981; Erin, born in August 1982; and Jordan, born in September 1986. David and Dyer were married from 1982 to 1986.

David shared with People that he missed out on a lot by not being more present in raising his children. Gigi, Bella and Anwar Hadid

David was married to Yolanda from 2011 to 2017 and was stepdad to her daughters, Gigi and Bella, and son Anwar.

Bravo fans followed the blended family's journey on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills from seasons 3 to 6.

After finalizing their divorce in 2017, he shared with DailyMailTV, "Divorce is tough on everyone, but Gigi and Bella are thriving. We may not talk much, but we text. And yeah, we're still on good terms."

Rennie Foster

Rennie is David’s youngest son, whom he shares with his fifth wife Katharine. The couple, who wed in 2019, welcomed their only son together in February 2021.

David spoke to We in April 2024 about Rennie's musical abilities, noting that it's not surprising considering his parents.

"He's really into drums at the moment," David revealed. "But he also likes to play the piano, although he tends to bang on the keys, which can be a bit frustrating for me. But he's just a young kid, he's recently turned three."
