In 2003, Adam tied the knot with his wife, Jackie Sandler. The couple was blessed with the arrival of their two daughters, Sadie and Sunny, in 2006 and 2008, respectively. Since then, it has become apparent that Adam's love for his family extends beyond personal life and into his professional career.
Adam embraced the opportunity to showcase his daughters' talents by including them in his movies. Their presence on the screen adds a sense of warmth and authenticity to his films, while simultaneously allowing them to embrace their own passion for acting.
Adam jokingly shared on The Drew Barrymore Show in October 2020, "[My daughters] make it seem like I'm compelling them to do it. Meanwhile, throughout the year, they kept asking me, 'Daddy, can I be in your next movie?'"
In August 2023, it was announced that Sadie and Sunny would be featuring in Adam's upcoming Netflix film titled You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah.
As Adam's children show interest in pursuing acting, he maintains a vigilant and caring attitude towards their growth and well-being.
"I am naturally concerned," he explained in a June 2014 interview with HuffPost. "Throughout my life, I have realized that when my child is upset, I am also affected until their distress is resolved... My ultimate priority is ensuring the happiness and welfare of my family. The couple crossed paths while working together on the film Big Daddy in 1999. It didn't take long for them to start dating, and Adam proposed to Jackie in 2002. Reflecting on the moment, Adam shared, "After playing basketball to calm my nerves, I was driving and rehearsing my speech, making sure I said all the right things to create a memorable moment for her. It all went well," he revealed during a June 2002 interview on Good Morning America. "She immediately called her grandmother and mother, who heard the excitement through the phone."
Jackie and Adam got married in June 2003.

Adam's father, Stanley, was a skilled electrical engineer who sadly lost his life in 2003 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. In June 2022, Adam took to social media to express his heartfelt appreciation for his father.
"On this Father's Day, I want to extend my warmest wishes to all the amazing dads out there! I was truly blessed to have had an incredible father who brought endless joy into our lives," he tweeted. My siblings and I shared this sentiment, and it was no different for my beloved wife, Jackie," Adam continued. "We cherished every shared meal, car ride, enjoyable TV watching sessions, late-night conversations, phone calls, beach outings, boat trips, golfing experiences, baseball games, and memorable family get-togethers. My father had a profound love for my wife, and she reciprocated those feelings in equal measure."
He went on to express, "We constantly discuss with our children how incredibly wonderful and intelligent he was, and imagine the profound things he would have conveyed in various circumstances if he were here. Scott Sandler, Elizabeth Sandler, and Valerie Sandler
Adam's three older siblings have maintained a low profile throughout the years. Elizabeth works as a dentist, and Valerie holds a high-ranking position in the food industry. Scott, Adam's brother, is a lawyer. Although he has not been acknowledged for appearing in any of Adam's movies, Adam credits Scott with inspiring him to pursue stand-up comedy. In a 1994 interview with Interview magazine, Adam stated, "If he hadn't encouraged me, I wouldn't have considered it a normal thing to do. I would have worried about disappointing our parents. But because Scott advised me to do it, and I knew that our parents respected his intellect, I thought, 'If he says it's okay, then it must be.'"
