JetBlue informed CNN that during the unloading process at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport on Sunday, a passenger jet experienced a loss of balance and tilted akin to a seesaw. The airline stated, "Upon arrival at the gate, there was an alteration in weight distribution and balance, resulting in the rear of the aircraft tilting backwards, causing the front end to elevate and subsequently return to its original position."
According to JetBlue Airways, no injuries were reported in the incident. Online footage shows the aircraft with its nose in the air and front landing gear suspended while parked at a jet bridge. Additionally, a visible cargo door in the front section of the plane appears to be open.
JetBlue stated that they are currently reviewing the aforementioned incident, and emphasized the need to inspect the aircraft before resuming flights. The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, responsible for overseeing the airport, confirmed that the incident did not cause any disruption to other operations at JFK.
