In the world of Among Us, trust is a valuable but fleeting commodity, as deception takes center stage. Recently, a new map called The Fungle was introduced, bringing with it a mind-bending twist known as the Mushroom Mixup. This mysterious sabotage not only disrupts players' strategies but also alters their appearances. It can be challenging to determine whether the crewmate in plain sight is a trustworthy ally or an impostor. With the addition of the Mushroom Mixup, the task becomes even more difficult. This unpredictable power in the wrong hands has the potential to wreak havoc and create chaos in gameplay. Delve into the intricacies of this newly unveiled sabotage from The Fungle.
What Is A Mushroom Mixup?
In Among Us, there is a new sabotage called The Mushroom Mixup, which is exclusive to the map called The Fungle. Once activated, this sabotage uses fungus to randomly change everyone's color, clothing, cosmetics, and even their pets for a period of ten seconds. Additionally, the names of each crewmate remain hidden during this time. This presents the perfect opportunity for impostors to make kills without being easily identified.
For crewmates, this sabotage is highly dangerous and likely to lead to their demise and a sense of hopelessness. It is crucial for crew members to try their best to remember the original appearance of each player before the mixup occurs and to avoid approaching anyone, regardless of previous trust. It is important to remember that any suspicious behavior may indicate the identity of the impostor and should be reported to the group immediately. Although survival is still possible for the crew, it requires constant vigilance.
How To Perform A Mushroom Mixup In The Fungle
After the designated ten seconds have elapsed, the impostors must hurriedly make their escape from the location where the crime occurred, establish a believable alibi, and concoct a narrative to absolve themselves of any suspicion. The entire group will once again be enveloped in a distinct purple mushroom cloud, restoring their original appearances. Even the most adept and skilled crewmates must acclimate to their surroundings and carefully evaluate their level of trust.Your browser is not compatible with the video tag.
Once successful in securing an impostor role in The Fungle map, the newly discovered villains of the game need to patiently wait for a short cooldown before they can commence their acts of sabotage. To effectively deceive others, impostors should initially adopt the appearance of crewmates during the early stages of the game. Falsely engage in various tasks, associate with different crewmates, and eventually locate a suitable and isolated location to carry out their sabotage operations discreetly.
To access the sabotage menu, look for the fiery crewmate with a red twinkle in their eye located at the bottom right corner of the screen. This menu provides options for impostors to sabotage their fellow crewmates. By clicking on the boundaries between rooms, impostors can close doors to hide bodies, lock players in one area, and slow everyone down from completing their tasks. Another option is to start the reactor, which can lead to an impostor victory if crewmates fail to fix it. Sabotaging the communications will prevent crewmates from receiving task location indications.
To initiate a Mushroom Mixup, go to the Greenhouse room in the Jungle and click on the mushroom button. This will result in a complete swap of one's appearance. However, keep in mind that this effect only lasts for ten seconds, so impostors must use this time wisely. When crewmates are grouped together and it seems impossible to get a kill, the Mushroom Mixup presents the perfect opportunity to do so.
