Tina Turner's son, Ike Turner Jr., was apprehended and accused of possessing crack cocaine and tampering with evidence. A recent report obtained on Thursday, June 22, revealed that Ike Jr., 64, was stopped by the police in May due to an equipment violation. Following the incident, a thorough investigation was conducted by the officers, resulting in the seizure of 1.7 grams of crack cocaine and .7 grams of methamphetamine.

In a statement, authorities alleged that Ike Jr. made an attempt to ingest the narcotics. According to the officer, Turner, Jr. was observed trying to hide something in his mouth. Eventually, he removed a small cellophane bag and discarded it into a nearby ditch. Upon retrieval, the cellophane bag was found to contain cocaine, as confirmed by Captain Q.T. Arendell of the Alvin Police Department in a conversation with Us on Thursday.

Jessica Salinas-Esquivel, the car's passenger, was also arrested for possession of a controlled substance, as stated in the incident report by the Alvin Police Department. Despite Ike Jr. being unable to pay his $70,000 bail, he was subsequently sentenced to 18 days in jail. Tragically, this sentence coincided with his mother's passing at the age of 83.

Ike Jr., the biological son of Lorraine Taylor and Ike Turner, was adopted by Tina, who was married to Ike from 1962 to 1978. Along with Ike Jr., Tina also adopted Michael, her then-husband's other son, at a young age. Prior to their marriage, Tina and Ike had a son named Ronnie in 1960. Additionally, Ike went on to adopt Tina's son Craig, whom she had with her ex Raymond Hill.

In a 2018 interview with The Daily Mail, Ike Jr. revealed that Tina is the only mother he has ever known. However, he mentioned that he has not had contact with his biological mother since around 2000.
