Residing in Xianzhou Luofu, Guinaifen is a character in Honkai: Star Rail who has an intriguing backstory. Unlike the other inhabitants of the spaceship planet, Guinaifen, originally known as Guinevere, hails from a different origin. Thanks to the thoughtful gesture of her dear friend Sushang, she embraced the name Guinaifen and has since made it her own.
Guinaifen + Kafka + Asta + Luocha
Unfortunately, despite their friendship, these two players do not perform optimally as teammates. Therefore, players need to search for other individuals to join forces with the performer. Guinevere, a Nihility character, revolves her playstyle around debuffs and Damage over Time (DoT), so her options for teaming up are limited. Aspiring Trailblazers who desire to include Guinevere on their team can experiment with the Guinaifen team composition in Honkai: Star Rail.
To enhance a team featuring DoT Honkai: Star Rail character Guinaifen, partnering her with the formidable DoT queen, Kafka, is an obvious choice. Both Guinaifen and Kafka possess their own DoT abilities, and when aided by Asta, their damage potential is greatly amplified. However, teams that heavily rely on Skill Points (SP) may find it challenging to accommodate a healer or shielder that consumes excessive SP. This is where a unit like Luocha proves invaluable, as it caters to the needs of SP-intensive teams.
When comparing Guinaifen with Sampo and Luka, Guinaifen outperforms in terms of damage. It ultimately depends on what players are looking for. In addition to the elemental aspect, here are some factors to consider when choosing one of the three Nihility characters in Honkai: Star Rail:
Guinaifen possesses excellent AoE ability and a reliable weakness break against groups of enemies. However, her performance against single-target enemies may not be as optimal. Her Talent ability allows her to inflict greater damage on enemies, reducing the need for a high amount of SP.
Sampo: A powerful RNG AoE Skill, excels at exploiting weaknesses in single-target enemies. Inflicts substantial damage to the enemy with its Ultimate ability. Requires a high investment of Skill Points.
Luka: A top choice for taking down single targets, but lacks effectiveness in AoE situations. Deals significant damage to the enemy with its Ultimate ability. Able to activate its Bleed effect with Basic Attacks, making it the least skill point intensive option.
Guinaifen + Hook/Himeko + Asta + Luocha
Those without Kafka need not worry, as they can opt to play with a Burn-exclusive team instead. In the event that a Fire healer is introduced, players have the option to replace one of the Fire characters or Silver Wolf, resulting in a mono-Fire team.
Regrettably, despite their ability to activate Burn damage over time, Hook, Himeko, and Asta all possess relatively low multipliers when it comes to their Burn effects. Consequently, the performer's brilliance is hindered, preventing her from shining as brightly as her fireworks. Nevertheless, the team possesses all the necessary elements for a well-rounded party. Guinaifen functions as a debuffer and damage dealer, Hook/Himeko serves as the DPS, Asta acts as a buffer, and Luocha fulfills the role of a healer. Keep in mind that this particular team requires a higher number of Skill Points compared to Kafka's team, further emphasizing the superiority of Luocha as the best choice for a healer.
In order to maximize damage, players have the option of using Fire Trailblazer (or any Preservation character) and equipping them with Trend of the Universal Market Light Cone. This weapon has the ability to inflict Burn, which scales based on the wielder's DEF. It is important to note that the Fire DMG stat also affects the damage over time (DoT) of Burn. Therefore, choosing Fire Trailblazer as a companion is the preferred option over a random Preservation unit. Additionally, utilizing Fire MC provides a positive SP balance, which can greatly benefit the team's Skill Points.
