US Army Private Travis King returned to the United States on Thursday, following his repatriation weeks after crossing into North Korea, according to a Defense Department official.
King arrived on a US military flight, touching down at Kelly Field at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston at approximately 1:30 a.m. ET, as stated by the official.
A CNN camera recorded footage of King being accompanied off the plane by a group of individuals. They encountered officials awaiting them on the ground and guided King to an undisclosed section of the military base, away from the camera's view.
