How to get all Demiguise Statues and Demiguise Moons in Hogwarts Legacy

The Alohomora spell enables you to unlock doors and containers in the game. Derived from Gladwin Moon, the school caretaker, this spell is demonstrated to you when he presents the initial Demiguise Statue. This statue portrays a peculiar creature holding a radiant orb called a Demiguise Moon. These moons can only be collected during nighttime. Therefore, if you wish to search for these objects, it is necessary to periodically progress the game's day-night cycle through the world map.

How to upgrade the Alohomora spell

In the game world of Hogwarts Legacy, there are multiple Demiguise Statues available for you to discover. As you progress through Gladwin's quest, which requires completing stealthy objectives, you will come across two more of these statues. Once these are found, Gladwin will task you with locating additional Demiguise Moons in order to unlock Alohomora upgrades. This involves completing a few tiers or quest phases, and you will need to return to Gladwin in order to receive the upgraded versions:

Alohomora level 2 - Your goal is to gather a total of 9 Demiguise Moons.

In order to reach Alohomora level 3, you must collect a total of 13 Demiguise Moons. The quest assigned by Gladwin will temporarily transform the entire area into a stealth section, but it offers a reward of two Demiguise Moons. The remaining moons will need to be obtained through free-roaming.

Hogwarts Castle Demiguise Statues and Demiguise Moons

To help you on your mission, we have compiled a list of the Demiguise Statues located within Hogwarts Legacy's castle itself. It is important to note that you will need nine Demiguise Moons to upgrade the Alohomora spell. As higher-level locks can be found in certain areas, it is advised to visit Hogsmeade to find various key items necessary for the upgrade.

Library Annex: Library - Head back to the Restricted Section basement. It's just past the Eye Chest.

Library Annex: Divination Classroom - Inside the classroom itself.

Library Annex: Potions Classroom - Proceed left and descend the staircase. Unlock the door on level 1 and inspect the adjoining corridor. To the left, you will find a doorway with a level 2 lock. The item is located within that room.

Bell Tower Wing: Hogwarts North Exit - Examine the gatehouse in close proximity, which is secured with a level 1 lock.

Bell Tower Wing: Beast Classroom - The shack is secured with a level 2 lock. Acquire the item located inside the professor's bedroom.

Astronomy Wing: Classroom of Professor Fig - Located atop a desk adjacent to the fireplace.

Astronomy Wing: Defense Against the Dark Arts Tower - Exit to your left and proceed to the Hall of Herodiana. Take a right turn and locate a locked door on level 1. The item can be found in one of the bathroom stalls.

Astronomy Wing: Transfiguration Courtyard - Access the door next to the fast travel point and unlock the door on level 2.

Great Hall: Open the level 1 door on the right side of the dining hall in the Great Hall.

Secret Rooms: In the Map Chamber, return to the Hogwarts cistern and take a left. You will find a level 1 door right before the dragon statue.

Hogsmeade Village Demiguise Statues and Demiguise Moons

The inclusion of a map for the Hogsmeade Demiguise Statues and Demiguise Moons in Hogwarts Legacy offers a clearer layout for locating these items. Some of these spots house objects that are easily obtained or protected by level 1 locks. However, there are a few that require level 2 locks for access.

This map displays the precise locations of the Demiguise Statues situated throughout Hogsmeade Village. It also provides a clear indication of which statues are safeguarded by level 1 locks and which ones require level 2 locks. Additionally, inside the shopkeeper's bedroom, adjacent to an Eye Chest, you can find Tomes and Scrolls.

Hog's Head - In the wine cellar.

Dervish and Banges - On top of the counter.

Three Broomsticks - Access the establishment through the main entrance. Ascend the staircase to the highest floor and proceed to unlock the door on level 1.

Three Broomsticks (outside and to the right) - Enter the neighboring house beside Three Broomsticks. The door is equipped with a level 1 lock.

Brood and Peck - The small house across the street houses it. The lock on this one has a level 1 security.

Honeydukes (back) - Explore the vicinity behind Honeydukes to find a small hut containing a chest secured with a level 1 lock.

Southwest alley - The second house on your left, located in the alley between Ollivanders and Tomes and Scrolls, requires a level 2 unlock.

J. Pippin Potion Shop - Next to the J. Pippin Potion Shop, there is a house with a level 2 lock.

Highlands Demiguise Statues and Demiguise Moons

Let's approach this section of the Hogwarts Legacy Demiguise Statues in a slightly different manner. The reason for this is that hamlets in the Highlands are known for their small size and limited number of houses. As a result, we will explore each hamlet from north to south, while also noting which houses have Demiguise Moons and whether they are initially locked. Additionally, if you wish to reach the southern half of the map, you will need to pass through the mountain tunnel located in the Coastal Cavern region.

Below are the Highland hamlets that should be on your list to visit:

Pitt-Upon-Ford - Two-storey house that's west of the Floo Flame.

Upper Hogsfield - Small hut with the broken wheel by the door.

Aranshire (Level 1) - Located on the second floor of the house adjacent to the Floo Flame.

Lower Hogsfield - Situated in the hut on the right side. This is also where the parent who requires assistance for The Lost Child quest resides.

Brocburrow - The house that's near the Merlin Trial.

Keenbridge (Level 1) - Three-storey house that's further away from the others.

Feldcroft (Level 2) - The house that's slightly to the east.

Irondale - The house to your right once you spawn.

Marunweem - The hut in the center of the hamlet.

Bainburgh (Level 2) - The house directly to your left once you spawn.

Cragcroft - This small village stands out for its size. Fortunately, the house you seek is conveniently situated next to the vendor NPC.

Remember to visit Gladwin Moon whenever you attain a milestone for the Alohomora upgrade. Eventually, you will encounter Piers Pemberton, who appears to be involved in the nuisance caused by the Demiguise objects bothering Gladwin.

After collecting all the Demiguise Moons in Hogwarts Legacy, you will earn the "Demiguise Dread" achievement. Speak to Piers again, then inform Gladwin to complete the quest.
