A brief recap of High Card season 2 episode 1

The inaugural installment, named Knightmare, began with Finn and his squad effectively recovering the Jack of Hearts "Sky Dancer" from a Player known as Jason Daltrey. Despite the difficult task of apprehending the card from a Player in mid-air, the Old Maid team excelled in obtaining the X-Playing card swiftly.

After the Klondikes family launched a recent attack, security in Fourland was drastically increased, prompting the King to task Theodore with retrieving all 52 cards. Theodore vowed to secure the cards before the royal family's coronation in January.

Leo was displeased with Owen acting as a mediator between him and his father, and Owen was also given the responsibility of safeguarding the cards. Meanwhile, Inspector Young and Pease were ambushed by Iris Moise during a raid on one of Van's hideouts.

Fulfilling his promise, Finn received some insight into his past from Lindsey, but the details about that fateful night remained elusive. Later, Finn encountered Chris, who was contending with a shapeshifting Player wielding the Six of Hearts, known as "The Zoo."

Finn arrived in time, but the Black Knight from his nightmare still managed to kill the Player. The duo fled to save themselves from being overpowered. After consuming the card of their target, the Black Knight was monitored by TILT and Burst.

Meanwhile, Van told his subordinate Zenon that the fate of the kingdom was about to change.
