Hell's Paradise - Jigokuraku unveils season 2 Key Visual and new voice cast at Jump Festa 2024

After the conclusion of the first season in July of this year, the announcement of a second season was made. However, exact release dates are yet to be revealed. Studio MAPPA, known for their work on the first season, will once again handle the animation for the upcoming season.

Kaori Makita served as the director, while Koji Hisaki took care of character design. Yoshiaki Dewa was responsible for the music, and Akira Kindaichi handled the series composition.

The long-anticipated character design for Yamada Asaemon Shugen was finally revealed in a recent announcement. Joining the cast as the voice of Shugen is Ryota Suzuki, known for voicing characters like Yu Ishigami in Kaguya-sama: Love is War. In a message to fans, Suzuki expressed his excitement about voicing Shugen, describing the character as serious, committed, and responsible. He expressed his happiness about being part of the vibrant world of Hell's Paradise - Jigokuraku and anticipated great things to come.

Hell's Paradise - Jigokuraku plot

Known as "The Hollow," Gabimaru has established a reputation as the most merciless and lethal assassin. Despite being captured on a mission and sentenced to death, his rigorous training has made it difficult for anyone to kill him. When Yamada Asaemon Sagiri presents him with a chance to achieve a pardon in exchange for a mission, he agrees in hopes of reuniting with his beloved wife.

This mission may prove to be his toughest yet - infiltrating Shinsenkyo to locate the Elixir of Life while competing against other prisoners with the same goal. And so his journey begins, facing off against bizarre creatures and dangerous criminals, all in the hopes of returning to his former life.

The first season was a wild ride, and I can't wait to see what's in store for Gabimaru and the rest of the characters.
