Please wear sunscreen ️
"Hey guys, I just wanted to share something important with you. Please make sure to wear sunscreen and take care of your skin. I recently had a scare with a spot on my shoulder that I didn't even know was there for a year or two. So, I urge all of you, especially those with lots of freckles like me, to get a mole map and have your body checked. It's better to be safe than sorry. Taking care of our skin is crucial. Let's all be a little more responsible and proactive about our health. Love you all, stay safe."
Many followers showed their support in the comment section of Jowsey's post. His former DWTS partner, Rylee Arnold, expressed, "So glad you’re okay 🫶, sending all the love!!!"
Vanderpump Rules star and fellow DWTS alum Ariana Madix also shared her thoughts in the comments. She mentioned, "melanoma siblings. so scary but really glad you are ok and yes sunscreen so important and skin checks." In 2018, Madix had skin cancer removed.
In March, model Christie Brinkley shared that she had been diagnosed with skin cancer, echoing the importance of early detection emphasized by Jowsey and Madix. Brinkley encouraged her fans to take proactive steps in protecting their skin to avoid similar health issues.
Brinkley took to Instagram on March 13 to remind her followers that diligent sun protection is key to preventing skin cancer. She admitted that she had not been as vigilant in the past but was now committed to using SPF 30, wearing long sleeves, a wide-brim hat, and regularly checking her entire body for any changes. She stressed the importance of these measures to maintain skin health and urged others to do the same.
