Broadway stars Daveed Diggs and Emmy Raver-Lampman welcomed their first baby, expanding the Hamilton family.
In a heartfelt Instagram post on Thursday, March 7, they expressed their love for their new addition. "Dear baby, you have forever changed us. Our hearts are filled with a kind of love we never thought possible," they wrote alongside a photo of the baby's toes. "We love you more than you will truly ever know. Thank you for choosing us. Now please... go the f--k to sleep."
The Umbrella Academy star and The Little Mermaid actor shared their pregnancy news in September 2023. Their joint Instagram post featured photos of Raver-Lampman proudly displaying her bare baby bump while she and Diggs gazed lovingly at her growing belly, captioned with "We can't wait to meet you."
Diggs and Raver-Lampman were part of the original cast of the popular musical Hamilton when it premiered on Broadway in August 2015. Diggs received a Tony Award for his portrayal of Marquis de Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson, while Raver-Lampman was a member of the ensemble. Raver-Lampman left the show in April 2016, followed by Diggs in July of the same year.
They were good friends even after leaving Hamilton, but they only started dating after they both left the Broadway show. Before officially becoming a couple, they often showed up on each other's Instagram feeds and went to the Film Independent Spirit Awards together in February 2019, along with his Blindspotting costar Janina Gavankar.

Daveed Diggs hinted at his relationship with Emmy Raver-Lampman in June 2020. While discussing his Snowpiercer character, Andre Layton, he mentioned how different they are. Diggs revealed, "Layton is hyper-observant. I am not. I have not ever figured out where all the things in our kitchen are because my girlfriend put them where they are, and I still don’t know. I would not make a good detective," Diggs shared with the Los Angeles Times, suggesting that they were living together. He added, "We’ve been in this house for two years."
In the following month, the media was abuzz with news of Diggs and Raver-Lampman's relationship after they made a public appearance together at the Los Angeles premiere of her movie aTypical Wednesday.
Shortly after, the couple graced the cover of Architectural Digest in April 2021, giving readers a glimpse into the beautiful Southern California home they bought back in 2018.
Raver-Lampman expressed her excitement about their first house together, envisioning their families, community, and passions intertwined in their new home.
Diggs shared his thoughts on the significance of their shared space, admitting that being away now feels more difficult with a home like theirs. He now truly understands the feeling of missing home, as there is nowhere else he would rather be.
