Halle Bailey and DDG's Baby Halo Reaches Heartwarming Milestone with His Parents

DDG Reveals Halle Bailey Pregnancy Was a Surprise

Halle Bailey and DDG's son, Halo, is already hitting milestones as a baby. In a heartwarming video, DDG (real name Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.) is seen chatting with his little one in the car before Halo and Bailey, 23, head off to her next work assignment. (Bailey shared in January that she welcomed their baby in late 2023.)
DDG, 26, excitedly asked the baby in a video shared on Instagram at @officialblck on April 16, "Are you ready to get on the airplane and go fly, fly? When you arrive and everyone wants to greet you, remember to be kind to the director and producer so you can also get some screen time. Got it?"
Halo sweetly replied, "OK," surprising both DDG and Bailey, who was filming.
DDG excitedly exclaimed, "He said OK!" while Bailey gasped and giggled with joy. She then responded, "Darryl, he just said OK! There’s no way!"
DDG turned to Halo and continued to talk to him, eager to see if he would say anything else.
"Make sure to be really kind, that way both you and your mom can appear in the movie," he mentioned to Bailey. He then suggested that their son could potentially be part of the group of children in her upcoming project.
Bailey agreed that Halo could possibly be involved so that he could stay on set with her. As DDG tried to encourage Halo to speak more, the baby became quiet.
DDG joked, "He’s like, ‘I already said it once, I’m not saying it again” before giving his son some sweet kisses.
Bailey took a few seconds to process her child’s milestone and was still in disbelief that her son was speaking.
Who do you think is the ultimate Hollywood power couple of all time? Bailey shared her excitement, recalling how DDG captured the moment on camera. "He literally said OK," she reflected. "That's amazing. He said it, 'K!' He went, 'OK!'"
Bailey and DDG shared the exciting news in January that they had welcomed Halo just a few weeks before the New Year.
"Even though we're only a few days into the new year, the best thing that could have happened in 2023 was welcoming my son," Bailey posted on Instagram, with a heartwarming photo of her holding Halo's tiny hand. "Welcome to the world, my sweet Halo. The world is eager to meet you ❤️."
One month later, Bailey excitedly mentioned that she believed her son was attempting to communicate with her during their interactions.
“He’s started making cooing sounds now,” she happily shared with Access Hollywood in February. “Whenever I talk or sing to him, I get the feeling that he’s trying to reply to me. It's truly the most wonderful experience in the world.”
