Kevin McKidd and Danielle Savre are supporting the fight for a fair contract at the SAG-AFTRA strike amid their budding romance.

On Friday, July 14, the 49-year-old star of Grey's Anatomy and the 34-year-old actress from Station 19 were seen on the picket line in Los Angeles, accompanied by several of their ABC costars.

McKidd's costar Camilla Luddington took to Instagram on Friday to express her pride in joining the #wga once again, this time with a new sign. She commended the unity between the unions and expressed her gratitude for being a part of the current fight alongside numerous talented artists and collaborators who bring magic to the industry.

The SAG-AFTRA union, representing over 160,000 performers, embarked on a strike this month as the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) neglected to address their concerns regarding fair wages and the use of artificial intelligence. During the strike, unionized actors are prohibited from participating in any movie or TV productions and are also restricted from promoting these projects through planned interviews or via social media.

Numerous TV show casts, both past and present, have come together for their own reunions to show their unity. In the case of the Shondaland crew, McKidd was accompanied by Luddington, 39, and her spouse Matthew Alan, who had previously made a guest appearance on Grey's Anatomy. On the other hand, Savre joined her Station 19 partner, Stefania Spampinato, who frequently revisits her role as OB-GYN Carina DeLuca on Grey's Anatomy.

The co-stars also rendezvoused with show writer Julie Wong, who held up a sign saying "Somebody Pay Me" featuring a photo of Sandra Oh's character Cristina Yang in a hospital gown from season 2. (Previously, Cristina had exclaimed, "Somebody sedate me" when she was hospitalized for an ectopic pregnancy.)

McKidd and Savre, who portrays firefighter Maya Bishop on the spinoff of Grey's Anatomy, were recently seen showing affection towards each other during a visit to Lake Como, Italy. Although they have not publicly acknowledged their relationship, they often share pictures of themselves together on social media.

This romance follows McKidd's separation from Arielle Goldrath after being married for four years.

"I typically keep my personal life private on social media, but today there's something important I want to share with all of you," the Scotland native, who has two children with Goldrath aged 34, previously shared on Instagram in July 2022. "A few months ago, Arielle and I made the decision to end the marriage aspect of our relationship. This was a result of thoughtful introspection and extensive discussions. We believe it is the right choice for both of us."

On June 22, it was officially announced that McKidd and Goldrath had completed their divorce proceedings and would respect the terms of their prenuptial agreement that was signed prior to their wedding in 2018. McKidd also shares two older children with his ex-wife Jane Parker.

Savre, for her part, was previously linked to Andrew Contis in 2019.
