Goosebumps Season 2: The Inside Scoop

Get ready for more chilling adventures as Goosebumps Season 2 leaves you on the edge of your seat with its thrilling cliffhanger Will RL Stine's mischievous Slappy create havoc once again on Disney Plus? Don't miss out on the spine-tingling adaptation of more captivating stories!

The mysterious occurrences that happen during the night may not be coming to an end, just like the reign of terror caused by Slappy/Kanduu. The Goosebumps series on Disney Plus concludes with a suspenseful twist, leaving room for the possibility of a second season. Drawing inspiration from R.L. Stine's cherished childhood frightful tales, Goosebumps brings to life iconic stories like The Haunted Mask. Although viewers initially believed Harold Biddle to be the primary antagonist of the season, a much darker evil lurks in the shadows.

In the final episodes, it is revealed that Slappy was the mastermind all along and has a sinister plan hidden up his puppet sleeve. Episode 10 of Goosebumps delves into Slappy's true origin story as Kanduu and his encounter with ventriloquist Franz Mahar.

As the characters confront the ultimate evil and make efforts to protect their loved ones, intense drama unfolds. The conclusion of Goosebumps leaves the possibility of a Season 2 wide open, with Kanduu making a comeback as a central antagonist. Here is everything we know about the potential Season 2, along with a few spoilers.

Goosebumps Season 2 could take off after the cliffhanger

At the conclusion of Goosebumps, Isaiah finds himself in critical condition in the ICU with little hope of survival. However, Margot employs the same enchanted incantation that previously cured Kanduu in order to heal him. This leads to the shocking revelation that Mr. Bratt has once again become possessed, this time by Kanduu.

Goosebumps Season 2 possesses a strong foundation built upon the thrilling climax of the previous season. Margot's utilization of a powerful incantation not only restores Isaiah's health but potentially grants Slappy some ancient magical abilities, thanks to his mysterious history. Yet, the true catalyst for an exciting new season lies in the suspenseful cliffhanger involving Mr. Bratt. Throughout the previous season, he falls under the dominion of both Slappy and Harold Biddle, and it appears that he will once more serve as a vessel for these malevolent forces.

In the finale, overcome with guilt over Isaiah's fate, he retreats to the bathroom. Upon gazing into the mirror, he is startled to see Kanduu's reflection staring back at him. This clearly suggests that Kanduu managed to successfully transfer his soul into Mr. Bratt.

Although Disney+ has yet to officially confirm Goosebumps Season 2, there is optimism conveyed by series producer Conor Welch.

“We aspire to continue following this group of children and adults for numerous additional seasons and episodes to come. With access to the entire canon of books, there is a wealth of material to explore,” he expressed in an interview with ComicBook.com.

Producer Nicholas Stoller shared with The Direct, "In this industry, you can never predict anything. The key is to create the best possible content and hope for a positive response. I thoroughly enjoyed working on this project, collaborating with Rob and the entire team. I have a great affinity for Disney and Sony's exceptional support. However, I sincerely wish for another season. This experience has been immensely enjoyable."

As new details emerge, we will make sure to keep updating this space. For more Disney news, read about Margot's comments here and also find out what the producers have to say about The Conjuring.

Editor's P/S

As a Gen Z fan, I am thrilled about the potential for a second season of Goosebumps on Disney Plus. The first season left us with a spine-tingling cliffhanger, and I can't wait to see what happens next.

I'm particularly excited to see how the writers will explore the character of Slappy/Kanduu. In the first season, he was a mischievous and malevolent puppet, but we also learned that he has a tragic backstory. I'm curious to see how his character will develop in the second season, and whether he will ultimately be redeemed or remain a villain.

Overall, I think Goosebumps is a great show for Gen Z fans. It's scary, funny, and suspenseful, and it has a great cast of characters. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a second season!
