Olympian Ryan Lochte and his wife, Kayla Rae Reid, recently celebrated the arrival of their third child, a beautiful baby girl, on Wednesday, June 21. The couple couldn't contain their excitement as they eagerly awaited the newest addition to their family. Kayla, a model, expressed her joy and admiration for Ryan's parenting skills, confident that he will be an amazing father to their growing brood. She noted how great he is with children in general, as they naturally feel drawn to him.

"I am also thrilled, although I tend to be more cautious, the stricter and less fun parent, you could say. This dynamic creates a good equilibrium."

"She shared that her daughter's middle name is a clever combination of the timing of her birth and a beloved family member. The proud mother also hinted at the nursery design, describing it as a mix of pink and green tones with a charming southern eclectic vibe."

"The couple, who already have two children together, a son named Caiden and a daughter named Liv, first crossed paths and started their relationship in 2016."

Reid revealed to the New York Post in August that they had a chance encounter, colliding into each other. In that moment, they tightly held each other's hands and locked eyes, instantly connecting. Following this serendipitous meeting, the couple went on to marry not once, but twice. Initially, they exchanged vows in a Florida courthouse in August 2018. Subsequently, they celebrated with a ceremony in Palm Springs, surrounded by loved ones, in September of the same year. Their young son, Caiden, had the honor of being the ring bearer during these joyous occasions.

In June 2019, Lochte and his partner joyfully welcomed their second child, a daughter named Liv.

“Having kids has completely transformed my life,” the Florida native shared with Us in October, reflecting on the experience of being a father to two children. “It’s no longer just about me and [Kayla]. We are now responsible for the well-being of our little ones. It was challenging with one child, and having two is even more demanding. However, it’s incredibly rewarding to witness the growth of our kids and to know that we played a part in shaping who they will become.”

One year later, the athlete revealed in an exclusive interview with Us that he and Reid were considering expanding their family by having a third child. Lochte jokingly mentioned that the decision was not up to him, but rather up to his wife, whom he referred to as the "boss lady." He stated that if she desired to have more children, they would indeed have more.

"Ryan has always been an incredible, involved father, but balancing his intense training regimen with parenting has been a challenge," Reid revealed during an interview with Good Morning America in December 2022. "This time around, it's been a blessing to have him fully present. It's a wave of relief, realizing that we can truly savor this pregnancy and newborn phase together."

"We're not entirely certain. It's a decision that depends on various factors," Reid admitted to Us magazine prior to her expected delivery. "I believe that raising three children will be quite demanding, but I don't want to completely rule out the possibility of having another child in the future!"
