A year after her divorce from NFL legend Tom Brady, Gisele Bündchen shared a poignant message on Instagram about the challenges and heartbreaks that people face in their lives.
Bündchen, who announced her split from 46-year-old Brady on October 28, 2022, did not mention their separation in her recent message. The former couple was married for 13 years and shares two children, 13-year-old son Benjamin and 10-year-old daughter Vivian. Additionally, Bündchen also served as a stepmother to Brady's 10-year-old son, Jack, from his previous relationship with actress Bridget Moynahan.
In her message, the former Victoria Secret Angel urged people to be more mindful of those around them, emphasizing the importance of simple acts of kindness. Bündchen shared her belief that kindness begets kindness and that it is especially needed in today's world. The heartfelt message was accompanied by a serene picture of her sitting on the beach with her eyes closed.
In September, Büchchen expressed her gratitude for her ex-husband during an interview with CBS Sunday Morning. "He's the father of my kids," she stated, referring to the seven-time Super Bowl champion. "So, I always wish him the best. I'm so grateful that he gave me wonderful children. I believe that when one door closes, other doors open."
She mentioned that she has adjusted to being single again.
"I'm in a new phase of my life," Bündchen expressed during the interview. "I have more freedom to pursue what I want. Previously, I was just getting by, but now I feel like I'm truly living. It's a whole different experience."
The announcement of their divorce came during Brady's 23rd and final season in the NFL. On February 1, 2022, he announced his retirement, but just 40 days later, Brady revealed that he had changed his mind and would play another season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
In March, Bündchen told Vanity Fair that she was supportive of Brady pursuing his passion.
Büchchen insisted, "I have always been rooting for him, and I will continue to do so indefinitely. If there's anyone I want to see happy in this world, it's him. I want him to succeed and thrive. I want all of his dreams to be fulfilled. That's what I truly want from the depths of my heart."

During the interview, Büchchen compared her divorce to "the death of my dream." She expressed the challenges of realizing that her life did not turn out the way she had imagined, despite giving her all to make her dream a reality.
