Gigi Hadid appears unaffected by her recent legal incident.
Just a week after the 28-year-old model was arrested for carrying marijuana during a flight to the Cayman Islands on July 10, Hadid finally spoke out about the trip. She captioned an Instagram carousel on Tuesday, July 18, with the words "All's well that ends well," along with photos and videos from the vacation.
The Next in Fashion host was captured in a mint green bikini alongside friends Leah McCarthy and Alana O'Herlihy in a post, which also featured snapshots of beachside meals.
E! News received confirmation from Hadid's representative regarding her arrest. The representative stated, "Gigi had marijuana that was legally obtained in NYC with a medical license. Additionally, the use of medical marijuana has been permitted in Grand Cayman since 2017. Her record remains untarnished, and she continued to enjoy her time on the island."
According to Cayman Marl Road, Hadid and McCarthy, both aged 29, were arrested for the "importation of ganja and importation of utensils used for the consumption of ganja" after their luggage was inspected by customs officers at Owen Roberts International Airport. The models were granted bail and taken to the Prisoner Detention Center. On July 12, Hadid and McCarthy appeared in Summary Court where they pleaded guilty and were charged. They were each fined $1,000, and no conviction was recorded.
On the same day that Hadid's legal issues were resolved, her ex-partner Zayn Malik, who shares a daughter named Khai with her, appeared on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast. This marked his first formal interview in six years, during which he addressed his own legal problems.
We received confirmation in October 2021 that Malik faced charges of harassment following a reported altercation with Yolanda Hadid, Gigi's mother, a month earlier. According to court documents, the former member of One Direction was accused of causing Yolanda, now 59, both mental anguish and physical pain by allegedly pushing her and using derogatory language, including calling her a "f—king Dutch slut."

Malik, who denied the allegations but pleaded no contest, expressed to Cooper his main concern that "the people involved" were aware of what transpired during the incident in 2021. "I was fully aware of the situation, and so were the individuals involved," stated the "Pillowtalk" singer, who has since successfully concluded an anger management course and domestic violence program required by the court.
He explained, "I wanted to avoid drawing attention to anything. My intention was to avoid engaging in a negative exchange with her [or] any online narrative that my daughter might come across in the future."
Malik and Gigi, who first started dating in 2015 and had an on-again, off-again relationship, quietly ended their relationship in October 2021 following the alleged incident with Yolanda. At the time, a source revealed exclusively to Us that they had been facing problems for a while and had tried to resolve them but were unsuccessful. Some of their issues may have been triggered by an "irresponsible" incident involving Malik.
Gigi emphasized the significance of coparenting with Malik during an interview with The Sunday Times in March, highlighting her happiness that their daughter Khai can spend time with both of them.
