Trolls 3 has recently been released in theaters, accompanied by a soundtrack that includes songs from the '90s boyband *NSYNC. However, is there a possibility of a Trolls 4 in the near future? Since 2016, this animated franchise has captivated both children and adults, making it Dreamworks' most successful franchise since Shrek.
After Branch reunites with his long-lost brothers, will there be a possibility of Trolls 4? Dexerto reached out to the director of the film to inquire about any new updates.
Trolls 4 directors already have ideas for a new film
Speaking exclusively to Dexerto, director Walt Dohrn has revealed that his team is “ready to go” with new ideas for Trolls 4.
“I hope so and we’re ready to go. We have so many ideas.”
"It is now in the hands of the world to decide. If there is a demand for more Trolls, we are ready to deliver. Personally, I am eager to witness the development of Branch and Poppy's relationship. Additionally, we have many unexplored worlds that we are excited to bring to life. Therefore, we are fully prepared to proceed, even though Trolls 4 has not been officially confirmed. Throughout the production of the third installment, I believe we were able to accomplish many of our goals and aspirations."
"We were able to accomplish everything we had hoped for. For a while now, we've been eager to collaborate with Kid Cudi, and it was a matter of finding the perfect role for him. Amy Schumer and Andrew Rannells have also been high on our list of desired partners. This film allowed us to work with our dream team of actors. Clearly, the focus is on the newly reformed *NSYNC, but only time will tell if they will continue to be part of the Trolls franchise in the future."
"I believe that, perhaps in our most fantastical imaginations, it wasn't the initial intention. It appears that everything just unfolded spontaneously, leading up to Justin Timberlake reaching out to us and suggesting, 'What if I reunited the guys for this movie?' The progression felt completely organic, and we are incredibly astonished and overjoyed."
