The Snow-Tombed Starsilver, a Claymore in Genshin Impact, is said to have once belonged to Imunlaukr, a hero from another world. Originally used by the people of Sal Vindagnyr, it was later gifted to an outlander by the chief priest Varuch's daughter, known as The Princess. Despite being a low-tier 4-Star Claymore, the Snow-Tombed Starsilver performs quite well. However, obtaining it is a challenging task, as it involves solving a complex puzzle that spans across Dragonspine, Mondstadt, and requires finding eight scattered Stone Tablets.
Updated on October 31, 2023, by Nahda Nabiilah: In contrast to other weapons in Genshin Impact that can be obtained through the use of Acquaint Fate and Intertwined Fate on Banners, the Snow-Tombed Starsilver Claymore is acquired by completing a lengthy puzzle in Dragonspine. Players are required to read Stone Tablets scattered throughout the snowy area in order to illuminate the torches located next to the Murals inside the cave where the Snow-Tombed Starsilver Claymore can be found. Once the Claymore is obtained in Genshin Impact, players will be rewarded with the Glacial Steel Achievement, which falls under the Wonders of the World category.
How To Get Snow-Tombed Starsilver Claymore In Genshin Impact
There are two ways players can get a Snow-Tombed Starsilver Claymore in Genshin Impact:
Finish a hidden objective in Dragonspine
Forge the weapon at the Blacksmith
To start forging the Snow-Tombed Starsilver Claymore, players need to acquire the necessary Blueprint. This Blueprint can be obtained by completing the hidden objective (point #1), which means players will first obtain the Claymore before they can begin the forging process.
The Snow-Tombed Starsilver Claymore requires the following materials for its forging:
Northlander Claymore Billet x1
Crystal Chunk x50
Starsilver x50
Mora x500
The Northlander Claymore Billet in Genshin Impact can only be obtained through the Weekly Boss, making it the sole renewable source. Alternatively, this rare item can also be rewarded from specific events or explorations. For example, reaching level 9 of the Lumenstone Adjuvant in the Chasm or level 14 on Inazuma's Sacred Sakura Tree. With the release of Sumeru, converting Midlander Billet to its Northlander counterpart using two Dream Solvents is now possible.
On the other hand, Crystal Chunk can be acquired from the open world through farming, while Genshin Impact Starsilver is exclusively found in the snowy mountains of Dragonspine.
How To Trigger The Snow-Tombed Starsilver Quest In Genshin Impact
To initiate the Snow-Tombed Starsilver Quest in Genshin Impact, players must make their way to the Dragonspine Statue of the Seven and enter the cave located in the southwest.
Inside, explorers will encounter a sealed mechanism with eight symbols intricately carved on the walls. The aim is to discover and acquire all eight Stone Tablets so as to activate each of the symbols.
First Stone Tablet Location
In the same cave where the locked mechanism is, there’s a Stone Tablet right to its left. Interact with it to light up a symbol on the wall.
Second Stone Tablet Location
Travel to the Snow-Covered Path Teleport Waypoint and head east past the Fatui Agents camp until the second Stone Tablet appears, activate it.
Third Stone Tablet Location
The closest teleporter to the third Stone Tablet is the Skyfrost Nail Teleport Waypoint. From there, glide to the platform on the left and then climb the slope.
Follow the path up and players should end up in an open area where there’s a slumbering Ruin Grader. On the end of the path is the third Stone Tablet.
Fourth Stone Tablet Location
From the third tablet location, turn around and jump down to the platform below. After that, proceed north to encounter a sealed room.
To unlock it, you'll need the Princess' Box, the Priest's Box, and the Scribe's Box. Once you have acquired these three items, proceed to unlock the room. Inside, you'll find two chests waiting to be opened, granting you access to the fourth Stone Tablet.
Fifth Stone Tablet Location
From the Starglow Cavern Teleport Waypoint, glide west around the mountain and land inside the square-shaped area.
Here, Travelers need to solve a puzzle to get to the fifth Stone Tablet, which is hidden behind an Ancient Rimes that can only be broken by using Scarlet Quartz.
Sixth Stone Tablet Location
To obtain the sixth Stone Tablet, teleport to the Waypoint located southeast of the Wyrmrest Valley and proceed across the dilapidated bridge. Ascend until you encounter a Ruin Grader. Overcome this formidable foe and unveil the sixth Stone Tablet.
Seventh Stone Tablet Location
The seventh Stone Tablet is located southwest of the Wyrmrest Valley, beneath the Cryo Hypostasis.
To get there, teleport to the Entombed City - Outskirts Waypoint and head northeast into a tunnel that leads to the seventh Stone Tablet.
Eighth Stone Tablet Location
The last Stone Tablet is probably the hardest to get, as players must unlock the Peak of Vindagnyr Domain to be able to interact with it.
After thoroughly examining all of the Stone Tablets, return to the cave near the Entombed City - Ancient Palace Statue of the Seven and activate the previously inaccessible mechanism. Proceed into the Mural Room and unlock the chest to obtain the Memory of the Entombed City Diagram. This invaluable item enables Travelers to craft the Snow-Tombed Starsilver.
Afterwards, utilize Pyro to ignite the four torches located within the chamber. Following a brief cutscene, the Snow-Tombed Starsilver will manifest. Acquiring this Claymore awards players with the Glacial Steel achievement, part of the Wonders of the World in Genshin Impact.
