With the arrival of version 4.2 in Genshin Impact, players can finally experience the long-awaited playable character, Furina, the Hydro Archon. This exciting addition allows players to delve into Furina's distinct mechanics and discover various team compositions. As an Archon, Furina brings forth her unique abilities, focusing specifically on the HP gain and loss mechanic, which has been a central element in the character roster of Fontaine.
Are Furina Constellations Worth It In Genshin Impact?
Regardless, even without the need to pair her with other Fontaine characters, Furina can bring significant benefits to a team. Her abilities offer valuable support and damage, making her a valuable asset to your party. Many players may wonder if unlocking Furina's constellations is necessary to enhance her utility in Genshin Impact. The good news is that Furina is already a formidable character, and players can enjoy her capabilities without investing in constellations. While her constellations do provide enhancements, they are not essential for her to perform exceptionally well.
Furina's early constellations primarily focus on improving her Elemental Burst and Fanfare stacks, enhancing her support capabilities. However, players can still obtain a decent amount of Fanfare even without investing in constellations. On the other hand, her sixth constellation offers the most significant benefits as it introduces a new playstyle to her kit. This allows her to provide various advantages even when used more frequently on the field.
To summarize, players who want to invest only a few resources can either keep her at C0 or unlock her C2 constellation to further enhance her support utility. However, unlike other Archons like Nahida or Raiden Shogun, her C2 isn't as essential, giving players with different preferences, priorities, or limited resources a more flexible choice.
C1 - Love Is a Rebellious Bird That None Can Tame
Effect: When using Let the People Rejoice, Furina will gain 150 Fanfare. Additionally, Furina's Fanfare limit is increased by 100.
Importance: Medium
Furina's first constellation offers several benefits. It increases the maximum number of Fanfare stacks from 300 to 400, and it also gives players Fanfare stacks when using her Elemental Burst. This allows players to quickly reach maximum DMG Dealt and Healing Bonus buffs, resulting in increased damage output even with minimal changes in HP%. At talent level 10, this constellation provides a substantial 25% boost in DMG Dealt bonus, making it highly valuable. However, the 150 stacks granted by this constellation may not be necessary for players who already have characters like Neuvillette or Wriothesley, as these characters have their own mechanics for HP loss and gain that can easily max out the stacks.
Overall, if players plan to unlock C2, this constellation is a good addition, but otherwise, C0 is sufficient on its own for many players.
C2 - A Woman Adapts Like Duckweed in Water
Effect: Let the People Rejoice enhances the effectiveness of Furina's Fanfare when nearby characters' HP increases or decreases, boosting it by 250%. Additionally, for each point of Fanfare that exceeds the limit, Furina's maximum HP is augmented by 0.35%. The maximum increase in her maximum HP is 140%.
Importance: High
C2, similar to C1, aims to maximize the Fanfare stacks quickly to provide maximum buffs for the team. While this effect is helpful, it is not essential. However, the real value of C2 lies in its secondary effect, which boosts Furina's Max HP when the maximum Fanfare stacks are reached. This increased Max HP significantly enhances Furina's healing and off-field DPS capabilities, allowing her to focus on other stats like crit or Hydro DMG bonus on the goblet. Although not obligatory, this constellation can transform Furina into a more powerful off-field DPS option, while also offering healing and buffs.
It's worth mentioning that accumulating an additional 400 stacks to unlock this increased Max HP may prove challenging for players who lack characters with access to HP gain and loss mechanics in their team composition.
C4 - They Know Not Life, Who Dwelt in the Netherworld Not!
When Salon Solitaire's Salon Members strike an opponent or Many Waters' Singer restores HP to the active character, Furina will replenish 4 Energy. This ability activates every 5 seconds.
Furina lacks the ability to produce large amounts of energy independently, making her a low importance battery unit. However, her energy cost of 60 and the extended duration of her Burst allow her to sustain it without relying solely on a constellation. This is especially true when she is paired with other Hydro units or characters that provide additional energy. It should be noted that her energy generation during the Burst cooldown is limited to about 12 Energy, which is not particularly significant. Consequently, Furina's fourth constellation holds the least value for her kit and the overall performance of the team.
C6 - Hear Me — Let Us Raise the Chalice of Love!
Effect: Upon activation of the Elemental Skill called "Salon Solitaire," Furina obtains the "Center of Attention" buff for a duration of 10 seconds. This buff converts Furina's Normal Attacks, Charged Attacks, and Plunging Attacks into Hydro damage that cannot be overridden by any other elemental infusion. Additionally, the damage dealt is heightened by an amount equal to 15% of Furina's maximum HP.
While "Center of Attention" is active, Furina's Normal Attacks, Charged Attacks, and the impact caused by Plunging Attacks produce different effects every 0.1 seconds upon hitting opponents, depending on her current Arkhe alignment.
In the Arkhe: Ousia alignment, all nearby characters in the party are healed every 1 second for 2.5 seconds. The amount healed is equal to 4% of Furina's maximum HP. Triggering this effect again prolongs its duration.
Under the Arkhe: Pneuma alignment, the damage inflicted by ground impact from Furina's Normal Attacks, Charged Attacks, or Plunging Attacks is further amplified by an amount equal to 20% of her maximum HP. Additionally, whenever any of these attacks hit an opponent, all nearby characters in the party sacrifice 1% of their current HP.
During each instance of "Center of Attention," the aforementioned effects can be triggered up to 7 times. The "Center of Attention" buff concludes once its effects have been activated 7 times or when the duration expires.
The sixth constellation for Furina is extensive and may be confusing for some players due to its lengthy description. In brief, this constellation introduces a new gameplay style to Furina's kit, allowing her to incorporate Hydro into her Normal attacks and providing various effects based on her current Arkhe alignment. Interestingly, the effects she offers (increased damage for Furina or healing for team members) contrast with what her summons provide, giving her versatility to focus on personal damage while maintaining the team's HP. Players who want to use Furina as a hyper carry rather than primarily as an off-field character may want to consider this constellation. However, those who already have strong Hydro DPS characters like Neuvillette may find that Furina falls behind as a hyper carry, especially after investing significant resources in unlocking her final constellation.

As a Genshin Impact enthusiast, I am thrilled about the release of Furina, the long-awaited Hydro Archon. Her unique mechanics, especially the HP gain and loss mechanic, add a new layer of depth to the game. While Furina is already a formidable character at C0, her constellations offer additional enhancements that can further elevate her performance.
In my opinion, Furina's C2 constellation is a particularly valuable investment. It significantly boosts the effectiveness of her Fanfare when nearby characters' HP increases or decreases, providing a substantial 250% boost. Additionally, for each point of Fanfare that exceeds the limit, Furina's maximum HP is increased by 0.35%, up to a maximum of 140%. This constellation not only enhances Furina's support capabilities but also transforms her into a more potent off-field DPS option.
Overall, while Furina is undoubtedly a powerful character even at C0, investing in her C2 constellation can unlock her true potential and make her an even more valuable asset to any team. For players who are passionate about Genshin Impact and want to maximize their character's abilities, Furina's C2 constellation is definitely worth considering.
