Players have complained about the inconvenience of dismounting frequently in Diablo.
Blizzard's decision to allow mounts to charge through barricades in response to player feedback has been praised by the community, showing their commitment to addressing issues in Diablo 4.
Players' complaints about the frequent dismounting of horses in Diablo 4 have been heard by Blizzard. They have announced an update to address this issue and improve navigation in the wastelands of Sanctuary. While mounts were introduced in Diablo 4's open world setting, their implementation left much to be desired according to many fans. The requirement to unlock mounts later in the game, combined with a lengthy cooldown for dismounting and obstacles that could only be overcome by dismounting, made traversing the open world frustrating. The recent Campfire Chat discussed positive changes in Patch 1.1.1, but one important aspect was not mentioned by the developers.
Joe Shely, a Twitter user, addressed the issue of Diablo 4's mounts being unable to charge through barricades, which has been a source of frustration for many players. The changes made to the mounts have received widespread praise, even from those who are typically critical within the gaming community. While certain inconveniences, such as the speed limit in Region Capitals and the mount cooldown, still exist, it can be argued that this upcoming change is a significant improvement.
In addition to premium versions available for purchase in the microtransaction store, Diablo 4 also offers various cosmetic options throughout the game, including achievements and treasure goblins. The Season of the Malignant and its accompanying Battle Pass have introduced a new mount armor, demonstrating the developers' commitment to ensuring that players can enjoy the system for the long term.
Diablo 4 is hindered from realizing its full potential due to its lack of convenience. Numerous quality-of-life features are currently absent, and it appears that it may not be until Season 3 that players witness their desired improvements. Despite the widespread criticism of Season of the Malignant, Blizzard's response demonstrates their willingness to listen and collaborate with the community. Diablo 4 can be played on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
