The highly acclaimed Batman: Arkham trilogy is set to make its debut on the Nintendo Switch this fall. Developer Rocksteady revolutionized the world of licensed Batman video games with this series, receiving accolades from both critics and players. Its intense stealth and combat gameplay, captivating and twisted storyline that delved into the core themes of DC's iconic Dark Knight, and exceptional voice acting from renowned actors such as Mark Hamill as the menacing Joker and the late Kevin Conroy as Batman himself, have all contributed to its immense success.

The journey began with the unexpected hit, Batman: Arkham Asylum, released in 2009. This game immersed players in the eponymous mental institution, as Batman relentlessly pursued the Joker and encountered a myriad of other adversaries amidst a night full of treacherous surprises. The sequel, Batman: Arkham City, arrived in 2010 and continued the Arkham gameplay formula, but this time, within a prison city teeming with criminals and supervillains for players to apprehend. Finally, in 2015, Batman: Arkham Knight concluded the trilogy by granting players the opportunity to control the Batmobile, engaging in tank-like battles and high-speed chases through Gotham's rain-soaked streets.

Nintendo Switch owners will soon have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the thrilling world of the Batman: Arkham series. Rocksteady's acclaimed dark superhero action games will be making their way to the console this fall as part of the Batman: Arkham Trilogy collection. The exciting announcement was made during the recent Nintendo Direct livestream, accompanied by an adrenaline-pumping trailer showcasing some of the most iconic moments from the series. Fans will be pleased to know that all the additional DLC content from Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, and Arkham Knight will be included in this collection. However, it is worth noting that WB Montreal's Batman: Arkham Origins will not be included in the trilogy.

Historically, the Batman: Arkham series has had limited presence on Nintendo consoles. Prior to this announcement, the series had only made three appearances on Nintendo hardware. These include an updated re-release of Arkham City on the short-lived Nintendo Wii U console, the aforementioned Batman: Arkham Origins, and the spin-off title Batman Arkham Origins Blackgate, available on both the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS platforms.

The highly acclaimed Batman: Arkham series, known for being some of the best superhero games ever made, is set to make its debut on the Nintendo Switch this fall. With Rocksteady Studios at the helm, the creators of this beloved franchise, the DC gaming universe will soon expand with the highly anticipated release of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League next year. Until then, Switch owners will be able to immerse themselves in the dark and gritty world of Gotham City through all three thrilling adventures offered by Rocksteady.
