A new bug has been discovered by Diablo 4 players, impacting progress in the Helltides. Since its release, Diablo 4 has faced numerous challenges with bugs. While some bugs in Diablo 4 have led to unusual situations, others have significantly affected players' gameplay.
Shortly after the game's launch, a sidequest in Scosglen, the home of the Druids, was disabled due to a bug. This bug prevented players from achieving a 100% completion. In this area, players were tasked with finding a bandit named Darcel and retrieving a stolen item. However, the bug caused multiple versions of the character to appear. Another bug emerged a few days later, preventing the Druid from obtaining Unique items. Fortunately, Diablo 4 quickly resolved this issue. Recently, another bug preventing players from destroying a necessary barrier to complete a quest has surfaced.

In a recent discovery, Diablo 4 players have encountered a bug while entering the Cellar within a Helltide event. This bug causes all Aberrant Cinders to be removed from the player's inventory. Helltides are special events in Diablo 4 that pose additional challenges by subjecting random regions to intense demonic influence for approximately one hour. The bug was brought to light by a Reddit user, the_plumbus_among_us, who shared a video demonstrating their Aberrant Cinders dropping from 302 to zero in a matter of moments. In the comments, another user revealed losing around 350 Aberrant Cinders within seconds upon entering the bugged Cellar.
During Helltides, the demons under Lilith's command become more powerful and may drop Aberrant Cinders upon defeat. Diablo 4 players use these Aberrant Cinders to open chests that reward them with rare items. Helltides are considered one of the best methods to gather materials for crafting powerful items and discovering the finest items in Diablo 4. To open a chest and try their luck, players are required to have 175 Aberrant Cinders. Therefore, losing a significant amount of this resource can greatly hinder their progress in the game.
In response to player reports, a Blizzard representative confirmed that the team is actively investigating the Cellars bug during Helltides. However, no specific details or updates have been shared with Diablo 4 players at this time.
Cellars in Diablo 4 have once again become the focus of a bug, which is not a new occurrence. In a recent instance, players were able to exploit the bug to obtain infinite loot, making Cellars a desirable location for gear and XP. Until the Cellars bug in Helltides is addressed by Blizzard, players may opt to steer clear of Cellars in order to prevent the possibility of losing their valuable Aberrant Cinders, which they worked hard to acquire. Diablo 4 is currently available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
