Limited Run Games has recently revealed that they will be releasing a novelization of Plumbers Don't Wear Ties, a notorious '90s video game. The author of this adaptation will be Mike Drucker, known for his Emmy-nominated work on shows like Bill Nye Saves The World and Full Frontal With Samantha Bee. Interestingly, Drucker has prior experience in the gaming industry, having been part of the localization team for Kid Icarus: Uprising.
The book will detail the complete narrative of the 1993 release, which revolves around two individuals, John and Jane. John is a plumber whose image adorns the game cover, while Jane is portrayed as the other main character. Both characters face societal pressure to find love. Regrettably, the game has gained notoriety for being ranked among the worst of all time. Our Website labeled it as having "amateur hour acting, photography, and bizarre sensual choices, resulting in a product that is about as erotic as doing your taxes."
To coincide with the publication of the novel, Limited Run Games will release a remastered version of the game, both physically and digitally, across all major gaming platforms and PC. This updated edition will showcase the game's visuals in stunning 4K resolution, offer behind-the-scenes commentary, and feature an exclusive interview with Jeanne Basone, the actress who portrayed Jane.
Plumber Don't Wear Ties will be launching on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC for its highly anticipated re-release. Preorders can be made exclusively on the Limited Run website between September 22 and October 22.
