Daniel Radcliffe denies rumors of playing Wolverine but admits to getting buff for personal reasons, showing he's willing to transform for roles.

Radcliffe amusingly looks like Elijah Wood and openly admits that people often mistake them for each other due to their similar physical features. He humorously confesses that he even has signed photos of Wood, showing his playful nature and relaxed attitude.

Daniel Radcliffe found himself at the center of a peculiar rumor suggesting he would portray the rough and tough Wolverine in the X-Men franchise. For those who are just learning about this rumor now, congratulations!

Even without the speculated casting, Radcliffe has managed to excel at his goal of choosing projects that bring him enjoyment. As a former child star who gained widespread recognition, he has embraced wonderfully strange roles. While the notion of him portraying Wolverine may seem slightly implausible, even for him, it wouldn't be the most unconventional venture he has embarked on. Just consider his performance in Swiss Army Man, which truly earns the title of being unconventional.

A little while ago, rumors started circulating about Radcliffe's potential role as Wolverine due to his noticeably buff physique. Vanity Fair decided to investigate these claims by subjecting him to a live lie detector test. When asked directly if he had initiated the Wolverine rumor, Radcliffe confidently denied any involvement. However, actress Lindsay Mendez, who was also present during the interview with Radcliffe and Jonathan Goff, posed a follow-up question: "So, you just got buff for no reason?" This prompted Radcliffe to reveal his endearing goofiness to everyone.

"Yes!" Radcliffe chuckled genuinely. "I became muscular because of my obsessive nature, influenced by my parents who are fitness enthusiasts. However, I assure you, I am not resembling Wolverine. It's flattering, but it's not the case." Radcliffe's transformation in wearing horns for an underappreciated horror mystery wasn't the only way he enjoyed diversifying his roles. That's right, the actor who portrayed a dirt-eating angel in Miracle Workers and a programmer with weapons attached to his hands in Guns Akimbo simply felt compelled to bulk up. As far as spontaneous decisions go, that was probably the most mild one for him.

But the curiosity of fans didn't stop there when it came to Radcliffe. It is well-known that he and Elijah Wood, the star of Lord of the Rings, share a peculiar resemblance that has caused them to be mistaken for each other. Unsurprisingly, Radcliffe is well-aware of this. "I believe that the idea of Elijah Wood and me being similar is accurate," he responded when asked about the likeness between them. "We are both short, fair-skinned, brown-haired actors with blue eyes. However, when we stand side by side, we don't actually look that much alike. It's more of a conceptual similarity." He went on to admit finding it amusing, but also added, "I can imagine that he would have been annoyed when people mistook him for me since I was a 12-year-old child while he was portraying Frodo. That would have been irritating for him."

In addition to that, Radcliffe made another revelation during this line of questioning. When questioned about whether he has ever claimed to be Wood, he disclosed, "No, but I have autographed photos of him." With instances like this and Radcliffe's vocal stance against J.K. Rowling's transphobia, he has certainly solidified his reputation as a truly admirable individual. Marvel Studios is currently working on developing X-Men.
