Ben Napier, the star of Home Town, took charge of his well-being ahead of his medical procedure, and his followers quickly observed the significant outcomes. In July 2023, his wife, Erin Napier, posted a video on Instagram showcasing Ben confidently fastening his suit jacket, revealing that he had dedicated himself to improving his health and fitness leading up to his shoulder surgery in March. His goal was to enhance his sleep quality and lower his blood pressure, and he successfully achieved it.

Ben suffered a torn rotator cuff in March 2023 and underwent a successful surgery to address the injury. Erin, Ben's wife and mother of their two daughters, confirmed the completion of the surgery through an Instagram post during that same month.

Following his recovery, Ben has dedicated his efforts towards improving his fitness, which he had been working on for almost two years.

"@erinapier and I have been cooking a lot more of our meals," he wrote on Instagram in April 2020, along with a photo of him chopping cabbage. "We are dining at home, saving leftovers, and getting innovative with creating meals using what we have. I've realized that the small cutting boards we produce at the @scotsmangeneralstore and woodshop are incredibly useful."
