Atsumi Tanezaki stars as the titular protagonist Frieren in the anime, joined by a cast that includes Nobuhiko Okamoto as Himmel, Hiroki Touchi as Heiter, Yoji Ueda as Eisen, Kana Ichinose as Fern, Chiaki Kobayashi as Stark, and Atsuko Tanaka as Flamme.
The anime is being directed by Keiichiro Saito at Madhouse studios, with series scripts overseen by Tomohiro Suzuki. Reiko Nagasawa is responsible for character design, while Evan Call is composing the music for the series.
The manga series Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End started its serialization in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine in April 2020 and continues to be serialized. The most recent 12th volume was released in Japanese on December 18, 2023, and the next English release for the series, translated volume 10, is set for February 20, 2024.
