Unfortunately, the formidable strength possessed by the latter proved to be too overwhelming for Graf, leading to his capture.

On their way to Graf's mansion, Fren and Stark encountered Frieren, who briefed them on the situation. She boosted their morale and assured them that they were capable of defeating demons with their current strength. Meanwhile, she prepared herself to confront Aura.

Inside Graf's mansion, Lord Lugner expressed his strong dislike for those who defied conventions, referring to them as "geniuses." He then coerced Granat into weakening the town's defenses, allowing Aura and her demon army to seize control. Just as this was happening, Stark arrived at Graf's mansion to rescue Granat.

The demons were no match for Fern's powerful magic as he unleashed his attack, channelling the same mystic energy as Zoltraak. Lord Lugner was confronted head-on by the fearless warrior, wielding his mighty axe. Caught off guard, the demon was taken aback by Fern's lethal magical assault, specifically designed to eliminate creatures of his kind. The incredible display of Fern's magical abilities reminded the demon of a previous encounter with Frieren, another formidable adversary.

Lord Lugner distinctly remembered the elfen mage and called her "Frieren the Slayer". The episode finally ended with Frieren ready to confront Aura and her army of demons.
