In episode 8 of the Frieren anime, Lord Draht, one of Aura the Guillotine's demon subordinates, appeared at the dungeon to eliminate the Elfen mage. Frieren was targeted because she was considered the main obstacle in Lord Lugner's plan. However, disregarding Frieren's warning, Draht attempted to behead her using a magical wire. Despite this, the experienced Elfen mage focused her mana on her neck to prevent decapitation. Draht acknowledged that a regular mage would have perished from the attack, but he was confident in his ability to break through Frieren's mana.

Having slain the demon with a lethal blow, Frieren was taken aback when the mage unexpectedly launched an attack, resulting in the loss of his arm. Seizing the moment, Frieren adeptly disentangled the mystical wires and swiftly incapacitated Draht by severing his remaining arm, ultimately bringing about his demise. Reflecting on her triumph, the elven mage contemplated reporting the incident to Graf and even contemplated eliminating the other two demons in order to secure a pardon.

However, upon exiting the dungeon cell, she was confronted with a grim sight - the lifeless body of the prison guard. In the eighth episode of the Frieren anime, she proceeded to venture to a different location where she stumbled upon Fern and Stark, lost in an intense conversation. Both individuals shared a deep concern for the future of their beloved town and devised a plan to liberate their imprisoned master.

The red-haired warriors were filled with fear, doubting their own strength against formidable foes like Lord Lugner. They remembered how Lugner had completely ignored them during their last encounter, focusing solely on Frieren. It seemed as though he could defeat them effortlessly. However, neither Fern nor Stark were willing to retreat from their roles as heroes.

In episode 8 of the Frieren anime, the story shifted to Graf's mansion. Graf Granat keenly perceived the treacherous nature of Lord Lugner. In response, his warriors surrounded the demons, determined to defend against their power. Unfortunately, they proved no match for the overwhelming strength of Lugner, who eliminated them all, sparing only Graf. But since a demon's body vanishes upon death, the presence of a lifeless guard within the dungeon placed Frieren under suspicion as a possible culprit. Consequently, she had no alternative but to conceal her true identity from the gathering in Frieren anime episode 8.

Stark and Fern comes to Graf's rescue in Frieren anime episode 8

In Frieren anime episode 8, the setting changed to Graf's mansion, where Graf Granat found himself imprisoned by Lord Lugner and his subordinate. Lugner expressed his fascination with magic and expressed his disdain for individuals he considered "genius," like Flamme.

Lugner proceeded to inquire about a distinctive spell that could deactivate the town's protective barrier, allowing Aura and her army to advance. When Graf, the general, refused to divulge this information in Frieren anime episode 8, Lugner resorted to threats and granted him some time to reflect on his decision.

In the anime, Stark is shown attempting to rescue Graf after Lugner departs the room. Yet, the demons promptly reappear and demand that the red-haired warrior depart. Unyielding, Stark brandishes his axe and confronts Lugner. The demon's formidable powers catch the warrior off balance, resulting in him being overpowered and pinned to the ground.

That being said, Stark succeeded in creating an opportunity for Fern, who unleashed powerful magic upon the demons. Lugner was amazed by how a mere human was able to elude his subordinate Linie's mana detection technique.

After careful examination, Lugner came to the realization that Fern possessed a magic power similar to Zoltraak, albeit with the specific intention of eliminating demons. In episode 8 of the Frieren anime, Lugner was reminded of a mage he had previously encountered when he observed Fern's stance and magic. It was revealed that this mage was actually Frieren herself.

The episode concluded with Lugner reflecting on the past, referring to Frieren as "Frieren the Slayer," while Frieren, the Elfen mage, bravely confronted Aura the Guillotine and her vast army of demons. Suspended in the air, holding tightly onto a wand, the Elfen mage was determined to vanquish Aura.
