The Frasier reboot is becoming a family affair with the addition of Kelsey Grammer's daughter Greer in season 2.

Greer, who is 32 years old, will be making a guest appearance on the show as Alice Doyle, the daughter of Roz Doyle (played by Peri Gilpin). Alice was born during season 5 of the original series.

Alice, now in her late 20s, has inherited her mother Roz's free-spirited ways. She has recently moved to Providence to study architecture and is excited to reconnect with Frasier's son, Freddy, potentially complicating his romantic plans.

Gilpin, aged 63, was one of the original cast members who returned for the Frasier reboot. She appeared in a one-episode arc during season 1 and is set to make a recurring appearance in season 2. Alongside Gilpin, Bebe Neuwirth also returned as Lilith Crane, Frasier's ex-wife and Freddy's mother, in season 1.

Production for season 2 started in May, with Kelsey, 69, confirming the news on social media. The cast is currently filming in Los Angeles at Paramount Studios.

Greer is Kelsey's second child out of seven. His first child, Spencer Grammer, now 40, was born in 1983 with his first wife, Doreen Alderman. Greer was born in 1992 to Kelsey and his then-girlfriend Barrie Buckner. During his marriage to Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Camille Grammer from 1997 to 2010, they welcomed sons Mason, 22, and Jude, 19. Shortly after his divorce from Camille in 2011, Kelsey married his current wife, Kayte Walsh, and they have three children together: Faith, 11, Gabriel, 9, and James, 7.

Greer has pursued a career in acting, following her father's successful path in Hollywood. She has been featured in popular shows like MTV's Awkward, Burning at Both Ends, Deadly Illusions, and more.

Kelsey has expressed his pride in seeing many of his children choosing to pursue careers in the entertainment industry.

In an interview published on Monday, June 3, he shared with Variety his thoughts on his children following in his footsteps. He expressed his hope that they would read the interview and understand his stance on the matter. He emphasized his desire not to impose his career on them, citing the mixed blessings of having his last name and the attention it brings.

The first season of the Frasier reboot saw the titular character relocating to Boston, the city where fans first encountered him on Cheers from 1984 to 1993. Along with starting a new job at Harvard and beginning anew after his breakup with Charlotte, Frasier attempts to reconnect with his son, Freddy, who bears a striking resemblance to his late father, Martin.

The Frasier reboot is not only a revival of a beloved sitcom but also a family affair. The addition of Kelsey Grammer's daughter, Greer, in season 2 brings a new dynamic to the show, reflecting the strong bonds within the Grammer family. Greer's character, Alice, adds a fresh perspective as the daughter of Roz Doyle, inheriting her mother's free-spirited nature and potentially stirring up romantic complications for Frasier's son.

Kelsey Grammer's pride in his children's career choices is evident in his comments. He recognizes the challenges and rewards of being a Grammer in Hollywood, and his desire for his children to find their own paths is touching. The Frasier reboot thus becomes a testament to both the legacy of a legendary actor and the strong family ties that continue to shape his life and career.
