Fortnite V-Bucks Prices Surge: Important Update!

Attention Fortnite players: Brace yourselves for rising prices! Prepare for inflated V-Bucks costs, as the latest update brings an increase in Fortnite's virtual currency rates Don't miss out on these changes!

Epic Games recently announced its decision to raise the price of V-Bucks, the in-game currency in Fortnite. This change has now been implemented, with the new prices now reflected in the game and on various platforms. If you reside in the US, it will now cost you more to purchase Fortnite skins and expand your collection.

The primary adjustment comprises increased prices for direct V-Buck purchases, as well as for the starter pack and the Save the World pack. The cost of 1,000 V-Bucks has gone up from $8 to $9, 2,800 V-Bucks now cost $23 instead of $20, 5,000 V-Bucks have increased from $32 to $37, and 13,500 V-Bucks now cost $90 compared to the previous price of $80. For details on the new prices in other regions, please refer to Epic's initial announcement.

In addition to the increased V-Buck prices, certain real-money packs have also become more expensive. The Extinction Code starter pack now costs an additional 50 cents, while the price of the Untask'd Courier Save the World Pack, which includes 1500 V-Bucks tied to time-consuming quests, has risen from $16 to $18.49, exceeding Epic's initial statement. Additionally, the price of the Anime Legends pack, which features cel-shaded remixes of three classic Fortnite characters, has increased by $3 without prior announcement. However, it is expected that the Anime Legends pack will receive a price reduction for Black Friday in a few weeks, making it an unfavorable time to make a purchase.

At present, all other real-money packs available for purchase in Fortnite, including the new Transformers pack featuring Gen-1-inspired Megatron and Bumblebee skins, will maintain their current prices. However, once these packs rotate back into the shop, their prices will increase. As of now, the price of the Transformers pack remains unchanged at $25 and will remain so until it leaves the shop in December. However, when the pack returns to the shop, expect it to cost an additional $3 to $5.
