Fort Solis: Unveiling the Hidden Location of the Maintenance Unit

Fort Solis marks Fallen Leaf Studio's debut in game development. This psychological thriller is set in the secluded mining outpost on Mars, offering an immersive narrative experience. With a star-studded cast including Roger Clark, Julia Brown, and Troy Baker, players can expect a visually stunning and story-focused game that revolves around Quick Time Events and exploration.

In both Chapters 2 and 3, players will need to familiarize themselves with the Maintenance Unit. Within this location, they can access engineer Adam Hoskins' private terminal, an audio log from Nick Tout, and other crucial materials. This spot serves as a pivotal turning point in the storyline. However, finding the Maintenance Unit can be quite challenging due to the powerful storm engulfing the planet's surface. Visual markers are rendered useless, and the map on the player's multi-tool provides limited assistance.

Surface (Chapter 2)

After escaping from the tunnels and resurfacing on the planet, Jack must climb a ladder beside the Titan extractor vehicle to reach the upper level of the base where the ground structures are located. Upon reaching the surface, Jack notices an open cargo container door. Upon investigating, he discovers the dead body of Nick Tout, who has been brutally murdered but possesses the necessary credentials to enter the Maintenance Unit.

With the keycard taken from Nick's body, Jack can make his way to the Maintenance Unit by turning left out of the cargo container. The building is situated at the back of the Atrium, with the Greenhouse's prominent silhouette in the distance. It is important not to mistake the Comms Center for the Maintenance Unit by returning or passing through the Atrium again. Once Jack reaches the Maintenance Unit, he can use the keycard to unlock the door and proceed through the front entrance.

Tunnels (Chapter 3)

In Chapter 3, players assume control of Jessica Appleton in response to Jack's distress messages. Determined to reach Fort Solis, she encounters taunting from Wyatt through her headset, directing her to meet him in the Greenhouse. Jessica follows a series of tunnels and eventually arrives at the engine room where Jack was previously located at the end of Chapter 2.

Continuing through this room towards the entrance, players will come across a set of stairs. Climbing up and entering the room at the top will lead them back to the main area of the Maintenance Unit. Here, they can gather additional information and access new Surveillance footage by using Hoskin's terminal.
