Former 'Shahs of Sunset' Star Mike Shouhed Faces Legal Action from Ex-Fiancee Paulina Ben-Cohen Over Alleged Domestic Violence

Shahs of Sunset alum Mike Shouhed is facing a lawsuit from his ex-fiancée Paulina Ben-Cohen. She is accusing him of domestic violence that allegedly occurred in 2022.

Ben-Cohen, who is 33 years old, has filed a lawsuit against the 45-year-old former Bravo star. The court documents obtained by We reveal that she is suing Shouhed for assault and battery, gender violence, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

In a complaint submitted on March 22, 2024, Ben-Cohen, who shares two children with her ex-husband Tal Bahari, stated that she was subjected to severe physical abuse by Shouhed in her own home on March 27, 2022.

According to Ben-Cohen's complaint, Shouhed forcefully grabbed her hair and shoulder, then violently threw her to the ground.

The argument escalated in the children's playroom as Ben-Cohen tried to dial 911.

According to the complaint, "Nearly four minutes after [Shouhed] began his violent attacks on the plaintiff, the terrifying incident finally ended. Shouhed went upstairs to get one of his guns, prompting a call to the police who arrived at the house and arrested him."

Ben-Cohen is filing a lawsuit seeking unspecified damages and punitive damages. We have contacted both Shouhed and Ben-Cohen's attorneys for their comments on the new lawsuit.

In March 2022, it was confirmed by Us that Shouhed was arrested after a domestic incident. The victim involved in the incident was not identified at that time.

After Shouhed's arrest, his attorney, Alex Kessel, stated that his client did not commit any acts of domestic violence. Kessel shared with People, "My investigation found no evidence of wrongdoing by my client. I believe Mike will be proven innocent. Let's respect the principle of innocence until proven guilty."

Ben-Cohen’s lawyer, Joshua Ritter, has confirmed that his client was part of the incident.

In a statement to Us in July 2022, Ritter mentioned, "Paulina's main priority is ensuring the safety of herself and her children. She appreciates the efforts of the police and the City Attorney's Office, and she remains cooperative with them. Paulina is hopeful to move past this unfortunate event and focus on moving forward with her life."

In October 2022, Shouhed entered into a diversion program to close out his case, Page Six reported.

Shahs of Sunset viewers had a front-row seat into Shouhed and Ben-Cohen’s romance.

At the season 9 reunion, Shouhed revealed that he had proposed to his girlfriend, who is a mother of two, during a romantic beachside proposal.

He mentioned, "I asked her son for permission to marry his mom, and I even gave him the ring. We were in Hawaii, and I worked with the concierge to find the most beautiful spot on the beach for the proposal."

Ben-Cohen expressed, "The bond and love we share is so strong that I can't imagine a day without him by my side. I've told him that I couldn't live without him."

After nine seasons, the couple parted ways when the show was canceled in April 2022.
