Liam believes Vince shouldn't reject the opportunity to be a firefighter who can operate a drone during a wildfire. "Fine, find somebody else," Liam says as he walks away.

Vince's son, Bode (played by Max Thieriot), arrives and witnesses the disagreement between the two. He hints that Liam may have overstepped boundaries with Sharon (played by Diane Farr) while she was helping out during the Campaign fire.

Bode asks his dad, "Is this the guy?" in a serious manner. Bode, who is working with the Three Rock Camp convict firefighters, then instructs Liam to "fly your drone."

Liam and Vince are taken aback by Bode's request, but he explains that Liam's abilities will be crucial in keeping Sharon safe.

Bode assures Liam that his mom will be piloting the drone that will protect their family. He also promises Liam that he won't bring harm to the family, but instead, he will contribute to keeping them safe.

In February, when season 2 started, fans found out that Sharon had been away from Vince and Edgewater for a few months after receiving her new kidney. Meanwhile, Sharon was busy assisting in putting out the Campaign fire, while Bode was wrongly imprisoned during that time.

Tension was running high between Vince and Sharon when she returned home, mostly because Sharon had stopped supporting Bode. However, in episode 2 that aired last month, Sharon admitted she wanted to be there for Bode again but was unsure how. Bode, on the other hand, was cleared of any wrongdoing and sent back to Three Rock.

Even though things seemed to be improving in the episode that aired on February 23, viewers learned that Sharon held Vince responsible for her erratic behavior while they were apart. "I know I needed my husband, and you weren't there," Sharon told Vince in season 2, episode 2. Vince responded, "You don't think I wanted to leave. I missed you every moment of every day."

Sharon wanted Vince to prove his feelings by taking her out on a date. Vince happily agreed and they went to their favorite bar to catch up and spend time together.

Unfortunately, their reunion was interrupted when Liam unexpectedly entered the bar and made a disrespectful move towards Sharon, hinting at their past relationship. Sharon quickly tried to stop him before Vince could see what was happening.

Vince sarcastically asked, "Liam, is that it?" as he returned to Sharon. "And you are?" Liam replied. Fans were left wondering about the level of friendliness between Sharon and Liam while she was away.

The encounter was awkward, but Burke, 57, reassured fans in an exclusive interview with Us last month that they should always stay loyal to Vince and Sharon.

"I believe that no matter what happens between Vince and Sharon, people will continue to support their relationship. It's an idealistic love story that viewers can really get behind," he shared. "As for what the future holds for them, I'm not sure. I'm just enjoying the journey along with everyone else."

You can catch Fire Country on CBS on Fridays at 9 p.m. ET.
