As of October 25th, 2023, Christopher Norman Worcester has updated Cyberpunk 2077 with the 2.0 update, resulting in significant changes. The Cyberware system has been completely redesigned, transforming how players not only utilize these items but also acquire them. This update aims to inform players about the impact on items such as the Legendary Ballistic Coprocessor and includes a video guide covering all the new details.
In Cyberpunk 2077, players have various ways to enhance their character's power. Increasing abilities allows for gaining new perks, while finding superior weapons is an effective approach to dealing more damage. However, what sets this game apart is the ability for players to implant cybernetic enhancements. Among them, the Ballistic Coprocessor stands out as a potent Hands Cyberware, with the legendary version being the ultimate choice.
Legendary Ballistic Coprocessor 2.0 Update
In Cyberpunk 2077, obtaining this particular Cyberware implant is as simple as accumulating sufficient funds for purchase. However, it must be noted that there exists only a single Ripperdoc in the entirety of Night City who vends the fabled Legendary version of this implant. Therefore, players actively seeking this specific variant must exercise caution in selecting the correct Ripperdoc to procure it from.
The introduction of the 2.0 update in Cyberpunk 2077 has brought about substantial alterations to the mechanics of Cyberware. Despite the continued presence of the Legendary Ballistic Coprocessor in the game, its tier quality now corresponds to the player's level, particularly in regard to the selection available at different Ripperdocs.
The Legendary Ballistic Coprocessor is now available at every Ripperdoc once V reaches level 40 and above. The connection between Street Cred and Cyberware has been completely severed. An exciting new development introduced in the 2.0 update is the ability for V to equip two pieces of Hand Cyberware simultaneously, meaning that both the Ballistic Coprocessor and the Smart Link can be utilized together. However, in order to take advantage of this, V must invest in the Ambidextrous perk located in the Technical Ability tree.
Upgrading Cyberware in 2.0:
V can obtain the Legendary Ballistic Coprocessor by upgrading a lower-tier version. This new feature was introduced in the 2.0 update. To upgrade Cyberware, V needs to visit a Ripperdoc located anywhere on the map. When a piece of Cyberware is eligible for an upgrade, V will notice a small yellow arrow in the top right corner of the item icon. There are two stages for each tier, the base tier and the 'plus' stage. The final Legendary tier consists of two 'plus' stages.
The Ballistic Coprocessor enhances the probability of Power weapons' shots bouncing off surfaces, and with each higher rarity, it increases the number of ricochets they can achieve. Players equipped with the Legendary Ballistic Coprocessor, in conjunction with a Power Weapon, can witness shots rebounding two extra times before coming to a halt.
To obtain the Legendary Ballistic Coprocessor, players must locate the Ripperdoc named Instant Implants in Kabuki. There are three nearby fast travel stations: Allen St South, Kabuki Central, and Bellevue Overwalk. From there, access the map and head towards the Ripperdoc's location. It may not appear on the map for players who have not yet visited the shop, potentially appearing as a junk shop instead. Nevertheless, navigate in that direction, and it should become visible.
Once inside the shop, engage in conversation with the Ripperdoc, go to the trade menu, and locate the Legendary Ballistic Coprocessor in the Hands Cyberware section. Keep in mind that this purchase requires a considerable amount of Eurodollars, costing a substantial 21,000. However, it offers a significant upgrade compared to the rare or epic variants. Considering this, it may be worth investing time in earning money through farming or utilizing Cyberpunk 2077's duplication glitch to amass wealth quickly. After making the purchase, speak to the Ripperdoc once again to have the coprocessor installed. Finally, feel free to test its capabilities, as players should notice an increase in the number and frequency of ricochets from their Power weapons.
Characters who rely on Power weapons should prioritize obtaining the exceptional Hands Cyberware as it is unmatched in its performance. Conversely, those focusing on Smart weapons should seek out the legendary Smart Link instead, as it enhances the accuracy of Smart weapon bullets in homing in on enemies.
Cyberpunk 2077 is currently accessible on PC, Stadia, and Xbox One, with releases planned for PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X at a later date.
