Find Out When Your Favorite Shows, Including 'Grey's Anatomy' and 'NCIS,' Are Coming Back in the 2024 Primetime TV Schedule!

Discover the highly anticipated 2024 primetime TV schedule of major networks like ABC and CBS, featuring the triumphant return of beloved shows like 'Grey's Anatomy' and 'NCIS' after the resolution of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes

Networks are preparing for a significant year ahead in 2024 after the delay of their usual fall primetime TV schedules due to strikes from the WGA and SAG-AFTRA.

The WGA strike, which lasted for almost five months, concluded in September and resulted in improved wages and labor regulations for its members. In July, SAG-AFTRA joined the picket lines and reached a preliminary agreement with the AMPTP in November.

Following the end of the strikes, ABC and CBS made announcements in early November regarding their upcoming TV schedules. These schedules will feature popular series such as the 20th season of Grey's Anatomy and the return of NCIS for its 21st season, as well as the third season of NCIS: Hawai'i.

Although CBS had originally planned for Kathy Bates' new Matlock revival to be part of the 2023-2024 season, it has now been rescheduled for the 2024-2025 TV season. Poppa's House, starring Damon Wayans and Damon Wayans Jr., has also been moved to the next television cycle.

ABC acquired FOX's 9-1-1 in May, and it will premiere on Thursday, March 14, preceding Grey's Anatomy and Station 19. On the other hand, 9-1-1: Lone Star will continue on FOX but has been delayed until the fall of 2024, according to TV Line.
