The release date for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the second installment in the ongoing Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy, has been announced. During PlayStation's September State of Play, Square Enix unveiled that the highly anticipated RPG is set to launch on February 29, 2024. Accompanying the release date reveal was a trailer showcasing familiar characters, locations, and minigames from the original game, including Cait Sith, Vincent Valentine, Kalm, Junon, The Golden Saucer, and more. Additionally, the game will include fan-favorite activities such as Chocobo racing, Chocobo breeding, and battles against the iconic Weapons of the series.
Rebirth seems to continue right where Remake left off, showing Cloud, Tifa, Barret, Aerith, and Red XIII making their way towards the quaint town of Kalm. Square Enix has not provided specific details on where the game will conclude in relation to the original storyline, but they have mentioned that it will take approximately 100 hours to finish.
The highly anticipated Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will be available exclusively on PlayStation 5 starting February 29, 2024.
