Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Modular Reactor and Corel Protorelic guide
The Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Corel Protorelic quest chain is known for being one of the most peculiar in the game. Let's dive into what you can anticipate:
You have the opportunity to begin tackling the initial two tasks during Chapter 9: The Planet Stirs. Keep an eye out for a Sand Giant that may make an appearance, but it shouldn't cause any issues at this point.
Your goal is to look for buildings with overgrown cacti. These are the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Modular Reactors.
When you approach one, you won't be able to open it since you need a key.
To obtain this key, first grab a Cactuar Statue. By holding Up on the D-pad, a green light beam will guide you towards a Cactuar Rock.
Head over to the Cactuar Rock and defeat the Cactuar enemies that appear. After that, interact with the landmark to collect the key.
Return to the Modular Rock to open the doorway. Down below, you'll meet a talking goblin named Kid G.
The goal now is to complete Kid G's trials. These trials require you to defeat as many Cactuar mobs as possible within a given time limit. Each trial uses specific characters, and different Cactuar types have their own weaknesses.
Oh, and you need to complete Chapter 12: A Golden Key two finish the last two objectives.

To begin, make sure to engage with the Modular Reactor before proceeding to find the Cactuar Rock. Once you have the key from the rock, you can then access the reactor.

A map displaying the position of the initial Modular Reactor and Cactuar Rock is available. In Kid G's first attempt, Yuffie is the selected character. Here is what you can anticipate:
During the trial, you will primarily encounter green and orange Cactuars. The green Cactuars are vulnerable to physical attacks, whereas the orange ones are susceptible to magic attacks.
Use Yuffie's regular attacks to defeat the green mobs. After that, use her shuriken to take down the orange mobs with her Elemental Ninjutsu. Don't overlook the rainbow-colored enemies as they extend the time limit.
Switch between Yuffie's physical and Elemental Ninjutsu attacks depending on your targets.

Exploring the Second Modular Reactor, Cactuar Rock, and Kid G Trial
After completing the first trial, it's time to move on to the next Modular Reactor in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. This reactor can be found in the eastern part of the region, near a Chocobo Stop.

Aerith is the character chosen for this level. She has the ability to create light wards (L2) and dark wards (R2).
Two different types of Cactuar enemies will show up in this level. When you encounter lighter-colored enemies, use a light ward (L2). For darker-colored enemies, you will need to use a dark ward (R2).
Stand in these glowing circles to boost your regular attacks and take down enemies who are vulnerable to that specific type of damage.
Different variations of Cactuar, such as green/physical, orange/magic, and rainbow/timer, will also show up from time to time.
Create auras that empower Aerith's basic attacks.
Enhance Aerith's basic attacks with auras. After completing this challenge, Kid G will let you know that he's getting ready for the next trial. Keep in mind that the third objective will only be available towards the end of Chapter 12, which might be a few hours away.
